Oh that cannondale!
-
• #77930
got my hands on this cannondale criterium 3.0 for cheapz and emptied my parts bin on it.
loads of things to change, the headset is fucked, front mech is useless, wheels are out of true and I generally hate the look of shimano 600
and want to replace it with sram and the chain is too short, but it satisfies my hhsrb double spokked yearnings well so far -
• #77931
Thats pretty damn awesome!
-
• #77932
That's a fucking cool bike. So those wheels can go out of true? I just done a google on it and read about somebody on velospace putting his in a fridge to true it so I think that would definitely work.

Would have to be a fooking large, empty fridge to accommodate 700c.
Hands up if you're old enough to recall putting Skyway Tuffs or ACS Z-Rims in a chest freezer to true them.

Could ask a local business to put it in there fridge in the back of the shop for the day, probably confuse the shit out of them though.
-
• #77936
might try that trick, thanks! See if I can find someone with a fridge that big...
They're still a blast to ride! Love them -

I was being sarcastic but I don't know anything about how carbon works or what happens when you cool it down.

Are you enjoying riding dik?
-
• #77945
Riding dik is fantastic, but it can be a bit hard at times as it's quite different to what I'm used to being on top of.
I don't think I can make it to Easts Rob but you can come see it any time
-
• #77946
Your dik is too small for me to put dibs on.
-
• #77947
Well, all I can say is your dik has come out looking real fresh! You'll get used to all fingering and the thumbing it in...
-
• #77948

Just building a witcomb frame ( I live in Deptford so it's a bit of a homecoming for the frame) going to put a campagnolo groupset on it and get Ashley at Brockley bikes to stretch rear drops out 10mm to allow for a modern groupset. He's done this for me before with no problems. Much easier than scrabbling around trying to get vintage parts. I'm not interested in having a clunky vintage setup that I never use.
Anyway was wondering if anyone knew what this weld was for under the rear seatpost?
Semo, y u ber8 him, he spelld the gramur rite?
