As with all your work Luke - unique, practical and great looking...
Do you have loads of pairs of north roads & bra-end shifters, or just a few that get shifted between builds?

the pedals will go, they also weigh a ton. Having seatpost issues though the one that came with it seems to small. Would an 853 frame have a non 27.2 seat tube?

Thanks James. Someone else asked me that today........Lots of northroad bars and lots of bar-end shifters. i think i have hit on what works for me. so anytime i see a set of shifters and bars at a decent price i snap them up......

Dibs frame. Please?
Non original forks though?
I may have some Flat Crown De Rosa forks spare actually if you're interested...I have them too, thanks anyway!
May guess they're original ones:
Lithuanian track cyclist Vasilijus Špundovas (around 1986)Same forks here
And different ones here
Mine doesn't have that sharp aero shape though.

Lennard Zinn's an example of trying to get the geometry right for those who's over average height;
Is this an example of a well fitting bike for a tall person?

Always wondered how my '99 Volvo CAAD3 would look SS'd. Even had an HS33 on the back (since sold to fund Pomp).
Forks on mine are Fatty Rs, I think they're amazing.
That thing looks like a lot of fun. -

A school mate of mine in the latter half of the 90's was riding pretty much the exact bike you describe. A polished hardtail frame in a big size (well before the dual slalom/jump bikes came out), forks were often rigid, brakes were magura (his only sponsor) and he would ride that shit in DH competitions.
