  • Threw this together last night in about an hour, few things to change but was excited innit.

Fitting atacs and an SLR or Flite which will mean 3-4 cm more seatpost out...

Yes! and nice clearances! U know I have 1st dibs right?

  • err....

  • it's too big for Jack, I'll take his space

  • Not sure what makes you think anyone else is getting their hands on it... It is too nice, and was too much of a bargain to sell.

  • measure headtube length pls? Swapsies?

  • 22cm I think, and not sure about swapsies, as I said, I quite like it. Need to finish setting it up before I'd even consider it going anywhere. Most likely not.

  • anyone got one of these?

  • Bought this Witcomb frame in December:

Finished the project a couple of weeks ago, rode it a bit, but never had time to take pictures, finally took some at lunch time...

  • Mario Vaz?

Paint is fantastic, in fact the entire build is.

Also, Jackie is keeping the Mercier.

  • wow Loic, fantastic result. I remember seeing the original in the flesh, and it looked too hard to repair in places!

  • Looks great Loic. Brakes work out ok? Did you replace the pads?

  • Strong work Loic!

  • anyone got one of these?

I like these but even the 64cm has only got a 59cm effective TT. Alright if you're more of the T Rex persuasion I suppose....

  • still working on this project

    Yes Vaz did the frame.
Re. the Mercier, I thought so...

No, I kept the original shimano pads, bit dry, not the most braking power, but good enough...

  • Loving the Witcomb. Started to restore one myself at the weekend - would be delighted if it comes out half as good.

Did Mario Vaz provide the decals, or Lloyds?

  • oooh dear, the irony was obviously lost there

Not that bad. Even I had a Colnago. However, sooner or later, everybody will experience that it's just a bike frame. Nothing more, nothing less.
    It's a myth, not a miracle.
Enjoy it, so will I with other brands.
