  • thanks buddy....really after bar ends as have a stem mounted shifter.... but is the VX a long cage mech?

  • is the VX a long cage mech?

    Only if it's a VX-GT

  • Ooooh, get you and your product codes!

  • Nah, if I were doing product codes I'd have pointed out that the short cage VX is RD-2200, the mid cage VX-T is RD-2300 and the long cage VX-GT is RD-2400

  • If you find a steel northroad type of bar you might be able to fit those shifters.

  • I really like the old school Terry Dolan decals!

EDIT: well, the down tube ones are great, but the seat tube ones are admittedly a bit gash.

    +1

I'm not sure why you'd change them. How are you going to do it? - sand clearcoat back, remove/reapply, and clearcoat?

Because I don't like having a bullying cunt's name on my bike... The clear coat is thin and flaky won't take much to uncover them.

Just not really what I'm after Ed, simple as that!

Would take the Gitane over a Dart... morning, noon and night.

Finished this off and decided it deserved a good pic, i know its ANOTHER mash.

    big pimpin

Then put Tony Bell on it instead.

  • is terry dolan a bullying cunt?

  • evidence suggests so.

Impossibly to find stems, seatposts, bb's >>>>>>>>

  • evidence suggests so.

    that's a shame, I assumed he was a legend.
    what did he do?

  • Something along the lines of punching a reporter then attempting to sue him.

  • Great ride on the road bike today, made lots of changes over winter but hadn't really had a decent ride on it. Been messing around with position and realised I needed a bit more height at the front so swapped out the pro chrome for a Nitto I had in the parts bin which brought the bars up by maybe 2cm. Great improvement really comfortable on it now. Also changed Gators for Grand Prix and the difference is unbelievable. So much better.

Still got some of this to go on as well.

  • You looking to join the T rex club Tom?

  • You looking to join the T rex club Tom?

    Join?!

  • I've been thinking today that I should maybe change the tyres on my roadie for something more sporty

  • tart

  • ive decided to keep the grand prix 4 seasons on my road bike all summer

  • Difference really is unbelievable, so much smoother, and so much more grip in the corners.

As a note, that is the saddle pretty much bang centre in the marking things.

  • I used to commute on the bike so it made sense to have gators, but now that i have other bikes for that it doesn't. I will have to get saving becuase I can't afford £60 new tyres atm

  • (whispers) I bought the wired version for £17.99 each...

  • what to do with my GFs bike?
previous owner removed original cranks, derailleurs and SSPed it.
Parts that are originally on it:
    Miche competition? hubs
    Miche headset
    Modolo Corsa brakes + levers
    Mavic 190 FB rims

I've found the exact same bike in a local bikeshop but with different components on. hard anodized Modolo brakes, Miche Monolithic crankset and Suntour Blaze shifters and derailleurs.

so what components should I put on it to make it multispeed again?

    thanks

    Tony Bell.

  • Tony Bell.

    Has mini balls, apparently

Is that a gear lever boss on the down tube? What kind, and width, is the rear hub?
