Yes, take out the poles from the bag and strap it on the top tube.
Your tent bag will be less than half the size now.
Ah, that makes sense. Yeah ok, going the BikePack route will be a lot cheaper then. Thanks Ed.

The langdale 5 mins before the side wall of my rear gatorskin exploded! Thats 2 failled sidewalls on gators for me, so never again.
I have ordered a maxxis refuse, give that a punt. New white cinelli cork is also in the post for a summer freshen up. -

hardshells have better sidewalls.
what happened? -
• #75980
no idea, it was a gravelly part of a cycle path, it blew. I get off and look and the sidewall has split the entire depth down to the wire :S, my rear clearance is tight, there may may have been some shit caught up...

Got the BMC all tied up this morning. Switched the calipers out, and fitted some completely inappropriate tyres for upcoming travels (taking a set of GP4000's as well, will see what the roads are like once I get there). Still deciding on bar height, so have not trimmed steerer yet!
Come at me Africa!
Not tempted by some compacts?

Got me some wheels
I've filed down the rear axle a bit but not quite enough to fit in the track ends, decided to try the front wheel in the frame for clearance and realised I'll also need to file down the front axle too. -

Tweaks: ergo bend bars, shorter stem and a Regal to match the perforated bar tape (thanks to er... Regal). Oh, and trimmed the rear brake cable outer.
Needs an Elite Ciussi and gumwalls then I'll be happy...

Bought the storck frame on ebay last year and finally built it up as I want it -
Storck scenario 1.1
Ultegra 6700 group (except FSA 50t chainring so is now 39 - 50 which I prefer )
Fulcrum racing 5 Wheels
Thompson elite and fizik Antares
Deda zero 100 stem and 3t pro rotundo classic drop bars with lizard skin tape
Can't remember where the bottle cage is from which is a shame as I want -

What do you mean too tight? I can't see any problem you've mentioned, no different to drop handlebar that have an aggressive radius yet still work perfectly.
I've found the solution...you have to screw off the lever from the black body to fit the cable! This way the cable wont have a sharp bend!
Wing nuts might look rad but don't hold nearly as well as actual nuts, never mind a decent QR.
2 part epoxy works wonders, no ned to drill.
DIY chain guard could pretty easily be made from ge-fucked chain ring, bonus of low weight and your choice of cut outs.ok I'll try the epoxy one...
Chain guard or just a guard ring? If the latter, what size ring are you using at the moment? I'm going to have a 45T Alfine guard ring going spare soon. Like this but black. SJSC do similar ones in 42t and 50t sizes for about £20
I'm riding 46T right now...That shimano Alfine is actually quite pretty but with 40 bucks expensive...don't like black either...thanks

It wouldn't be anywhere near £40 when I sell it, more like p&p at cost.

Testing out a new front end. Swapped the 1" threadless set up for a threaded set up with some 1" steel track forks that came on a Tokyo Fixed frame and quill stem. The silly narrow hipster bars will be swapped, it's just the only bars I had lying about which were 25.4. Next job on the list is paint.
Shite phone pictures...

I do love it, and photos really do it justice, up close its abit of a shoddy job and is chipped/scratched to death! Has seen the floor a few times in its life for sure!

Embrace it! My Dolan with a similar paint job is the same. I'm pretty sure on the left hand side of the bike there are more chips than there is paint. Looks good as it is though. Also, I definitely think the 'before' picture suits the frame and wheels better than with the skinny chrome forks.
