they can't be too old, plus if they're 1.0 some people value them above enve 2.0.
nice:) -

That's lovely. A Moots is for life, imo.

yes, it was expensive, but everything was bought second hand so really wasn't built as money no object, just the best I could afford at the time. it probably cost the same as a mid level Specialized

Along with dropping the bar angle, looks like you could bring the levers up a smidge, not sure if there is quite the flat transition from the bars?

sscx/commuter now finished
Tarck bike also finished. will be upgrading the cranks eventually but it will do for now as this was just a parts build.

Now I really want to get some Integralters, but that would mean getting a bike with a 1" stem as the 1 1/8 versions are like fucking hens teeth.

well thats why the inverse shim was first machined

Let me justify buying a new frame just for a component that I probably won't like when I've got it. Man's gotta dream.

No brakes, can't stop, would actually quite like to be able to...
Everything on the Pompetamine now but the calipers, hopefully they'll be arriving at my work tomorrow, and I've got the afternoon off, so I should be able to go and get muddy before it gets dark.
Just took it out for a test roll and it felt great. Can't get used to this brakeless single speed business though, I kept forgetting there was no way of stopping at all apart from Flintstoning. Looking forward to getting brakless uninstalled.

Best colour on one I've seen in a while...

Nice pompet.
So it appears my rear derailleur didn't want to go down without a fight :(
Costly. Was going to sell the thing, now it's worth scrap. Is this terminal, would you risk you balls to ride it? Or is the frame done?
It's a bit worse than it looks in the pics, it's a straight line crease.

I bought and built this up recently, have just spent a lovely weekend riding in the Norfolk countryside and it's fantastic. It's far beyond my needs, but it's so much fun to ride, I didn't want to come home. The bars probably need tilting down a bit, then the steerer cut but I'm going to ride it a little more so I'm 100% sure before I break out the saw.
the front brake's QR lever is open

Anyone know a good source for black, steel, single speed chainring bolts? Preferably cheap.

The only ones I've ever found are on eBay from the states. Origin8 ones I think IIRC. Shouldn't be any import duty to pay as they are low value. I'm on my phone so can't (be bothered) to link. ;)
-
• #75749
Yeah, the Origin 8 ones are the only ones I can find. Was just hoping to find something in the UK to save on postage and potential faff.
-
• #75750
its really no faff, just postage is like 5 days or something. I was really positively surprised by the ease of purchasing low value items off american ebay and lack of faff related
Pretty much my perfect 'money no object' bike bmx_fred
