Adding to the list of failed SRAM rear mech stories.
Much less depressing than the last few I've heard of.

Was it an unwanted mech-vegetation interface or an overshifting into the rear wheel problem? Or something else entirely?

should have put it on 53x11:)

Had a crash on it last weekend, did check it but guess there was unvisable damage to the hanger and it just gave up the ghoast.
Ha! Had to lose 10links that bent, so had to be on the 39, and then that gave me a straight chailine.

Good work!
Didn't know you get a multi tool with a chain-breaker... Is it the Lezyne one? -
• #75436
topeak, but it's fiddly...you need a separate allen key too.
-

you need a separate allen key too.
you dont, the one for the chainbreaker is dettacheable

I've a condor one, which is a lezyne copy.

I cant tell you I am afraid, mate owns it and I used it only couple of times.
He swears by it, and as long as you understand that standalone tools are most of the time better than multis like this one, its a great little buddy that works just so much to put you together during the ride come a failure or need for a small dissassembly.
Its pricey though. -

I'm going to have to choose between a topeak and a crank bros.. I carry around too much shit right now. Forum search time..

just for the record, Sergio has something like this but not exactly sure if its topeak or lezyne or something comlpetely else.
and yeah, just chuck it into jersey and forget about tools for the ride time.
even has a tyre lever. -

I think Pepe uses the Alien and liked it

topeak, but it's compact and has everything you need without needing its own separate saddlebag.

Which one?
I've got this one for my road bike and really like it (although I've been lucky enough not to need it yet). Although I'm wondering about reducing some of the tools as I don't think I need some of the smaller tools.

1+ I would recommend the Hexus™ II too, best mini-tools out there.
-
• #75447
useful little thing, that.
I was out yesterday and kept having slightly nervous thoughts just about the possibility of changing a tube in that weather. I would've had to walk a very long way home if my rear mech failed on me like that... shudder -

roughly 10quid (17 bucks) on amazon, thats a good price
-
• #75449
Yeah like that, but has a spoke tool on the chain braker.
Can't see it on their online shop. -
• #75450
Do the chain tools on any of these multitools work on 1 1/8 chains?
