If it help, someone decided to adjust my saddle at LMNF to a more "levelled" appearance, resulting in I having a sore hand and arm on the ride home trying to stop my arse from sliding forward onto the nose.

That's what they do, on the track, when they are about to sprint... It's a good look...

I think it actually depends on the saddle to bar height difference of the bike in question (as well as rider preference).
For example I own two bikes with Brooks saddles:
My road bike has a Swift, my bars are slightly lower than the saddle and I find it extremely comfortable with the saddle ever so slightly nose down, with the saddle rails bang on level.
My 50 year old Pashley Post bike shopper is a sit up and beg type thing with the bars higher than the saddle. This has the saddle slightly tilted up at the nose.

thanks, the Duell is growing on me too :-) glad it's too big for me or it would start to hurt a bit shipping this to the UK
for all saddle experts to consider:
The correct angle is different for everybody. Displaying a photo with the caption 'this is the correct angle' is absolute bollocks.
I thought my saddle angle was correct when I put it like the one in the pic Apollo posted, but like Ed, I was constantly sliding toward the nose of the saddle and felt too much pressure on my hands. Now it looks tilted upward even more but I can ride it for 200km a day without a single problem...

Maybe you should all use a better saddle where you don't slide forward or look ridiculous riding it?

ah, another expert
thanks for your contribution

You are welcome. :)

there's a flaw in your theory though... it doesn't look ridiculous when riding, because your arse is sat on it. only when you get off the bike and look at it, or take a photo.
and you, judging by your comment, know exactly what's most important :)

Yeah, but what happens if you want to ride your bike somehwere and take a photo? Do you have to take a tool with you to adjust when you get there?
I like to ride a saddle that looks good and rides well in the "right position".

or, even worse, when somebody you know and *you like *will see you with saddle like that?
Its far easier to lose the street cred than earn it peter v... -

Agreed. But when I see a saddle like a concord plane taking of, I can't help it, I feel it's wrong.
There is everybody's differences, average settings, a bit of nose up, a bit of nose down (these pictures that don't mean much...), and there are some extreme settings that look atrociously painful, when on the drops for instance, but if it fits the rider, well... I don't see how but whatever...
You Duell looks perfectly set!! Well done!

For instance, I know that on my bikes I could not have the saddle install far back like on this picture, I know it's not right for me and I prefer when the saddle is to the front (especially when I use longer cranks than 170), but that picture does not shock me visually...

Brooks are pliable, suspension type saddles. The nose is often tipped slightly upwards, especially before it stretches. I don't see what the problem is?
Oh come on, ibinscobled already for this, i'm all upset with these crazy saddles fitting, it hurts so much to look at...
