  • Pooface, will it fit you?

I was thinking I could squeeze onto it with a long seatpost.... Damn nice frame.

  • first part for my mielec sscx

robert messaged me the frame is ready and going to be painted next week, but from what we've learned from the mielec thread that might mean something completely differend

    canti front disc rear?

  • it's too big for Pooface, but he hasn't realised that yet.

  • also, I see a pattern here

  • perfect size I think. measured it up against my 55cm square road bike which i have a good 7.5 inches of seatpost and 120mm stem.

The corrado has a 56.5 seat tube and 56 top tube

  • your track bike should give you more aero setup than road bike.

  • anyway I like this more than the goldsprint so ill make it work

  • just need cranks. anyone selling any suitable ones?

  • You just missed Pistoffski's Rotors....

  • i dont think I could have afforded them.

  • canti front disc rear?

that grey mielec cx isnt mine. Going double canti as it is the cheapest and easiet solution

  • cheapest?
you are aware that on the previous page there is a picture of you holding the wound-ups right?

  • He wants to run these for HippyHopCrossBike points.

  • Lol

  • my keirin fork resprayed today

  • skrtluv, rides an ugly repainted conversion, buys a nice NJS fork for it, then resprays and puts some weird corbon effect sticker on, then uses it with an aerocock.

    The mind boggles.

  • Emailed Brother cycles about there frame, as some may remember i was planning on getting one.

"The 631 isn't actually going to be available again, its being totally replaced by the 725. Sizing will be pretty much the same as the 631 and actually price will only be a small increase. All of this will be confirmed in about a month or so."

Was planning to buy it next week and build it up the week after, now i got to wait for over a month, bugger.

  • I have a first world problem:

I've been offered a Tarmac SL3 frame at less-than-cost in my size, but this is still a sizable chunk of money.

To build it, I'd need to take the Record groupset off my beautiful 80's 735 frame. I don't really have a need for 2 roadbikes. I can't decide whether I should keep the classic 753 or to spend money and go for something super modern and race ready.

I'll never race, I'm totally a leisure road rider, and last year I only got to do around 400k on it, something I want to change this year, but still.

    ARGH what to doooo?!

  • keep the old, don't be that MAMIL

  • Just do it. If you change your mind later you can always sell the frame again.

  • Can't see any reason why not, it's not like you're stuck with a choice.

Swap the part over, then build the 753 with cheap and durable part (8 speed shimano) would be good.

  • There must be a way to keep both... maybe sell your kids for extra bike moneyz or something? When you think about it, it makes perfectly good sense.

  • cheapest?

hmm yes, but as I might go 1x9 I want to have rim brakes to be able to use cheap and easy to use and install road wheelsets + levers

10S carbon record on the Tarmac plus some silly wheels. Relax the pug a bit and turn it into an audax/randonneur bike - it'd look great with your carradice! You can keep the campag wheels and just put a non-carbon campag group to match. This also relieves the pressures to replace the heavyweight steel fork with something lighter (which would most definitely ruin half the appeal, which is the lovely paint).
