  • I was going to keep this a super special secret until I'd changed a couple of parts but that won't be for maybe a month so fuck that. I'd been feeling pretty envious of all the NJS action going on recently so I bought this:

Just changing the saddle and chainring and getting a slightly longer stem.

  • Damn you did keep that quiet. Fucking niiiiiiiccceee! Where from? Dare I ask how much £ you had to pay for dat? You're fairly tall...

Wait just realised this was the one on the sales thread? Damn nice. Could go as far to say that I'm jealous!

  • Yeah it's the one that was on here. I would like slightly less seatpost tbh (the seat tube is actually 1cm shorter than was listed) but I've only ever seen a couple of NJS frames that would fit me exactly how I want and they were shit as well as pricey, so...

  • thats lush, it deserves a better picture!

  • Now, can I have the Alan?

  • ^it wouldn't fit you, it's too

    rad.

Also I need it to do my shopping.

Believe me there will be many pictures when I at least have a different saddle.

  • ^hahahah rep.

  • built in Brighton and used by one of the coaches at Preston Park velodrome. Not light, the forks especially, and the forks have been drilled and the paint is really thick, I may get it repainted, as the frame itself is really nice.

I give it 3 months tops

  • shinkuu i am well jealous, its such a nice bike, i would havee been half tempted if it was my size.

  • built in Brighton

More likely Worthing. I went to Spooner's shop in the early 80s, might have had my first custom build from him if I hadn't moved to Southampton at the relevant time where there were a couple of more local builders.

  • saw it in the flesh. it says worthing

    Nerged.
Doesn't have enough triangles to fit me.

  • wicked - is that an 851, and are they the original jockey wheels?

  • yeah, not original jockey wheels, which is a shame, but nevermind, they look lighter haha.
I'm gonna try and make it work on 9 speed

  • What rack is that?

    Cetma 5 rails..

  • New wheels for the Rapha Condor

    Yeah, boi!

  • Hey,

I'm thinking of getting these Soma bars, http://www.roadwarriorbicycles.com/uploads/5/8/0/8/5808109/6334909_orig.png?343

Just wondered if anyone has any advice regarding removing/polishing off the logos? Possible or a dumb question?

  • My girlfriend has those. The logos come off very easily, a little nail polish remover and you're good.

Shouldn't cause too many problems -you can get away with almost anything on friction shift.

    Awesome, much appreciated!

  • For Cross Check:

    Swissstop Blue Brake Pads

    SRAM PG1070 11-28

    KMC X10-L Silver

    Continental Gator Hardshell 700 x 32

    Problem Solvers In-Line Travel Agents

This is suposed to be the version for mechanical disk brakes, but will it work with v-brakes too? Could I attach it somewhere further up the cable rather than right on top of the brake? Got them cheap off eBay so no biggie if not.

  • Well, when cable operated discs are used on MTBs, they only use standard V brake levers, so I would assume that the ratio for cable discs and V brakes is the same.

  • Opted for wider risers with a bit more sweep on the Dodici when not using the T2's...

Easton Monkey Bar cut to 56cm, with Condor track grips

    Cinelli Peppers for sale...sold

edit: and it still barspins ! :D
