  • i haven't adjusted the seatpost yet and will prob put my thomson stem seatpost on
    im about 5'10

  • Ah, ok.

Was gonna say, I'm 6'2" and mines nowhere near that height!

Never did find the Moda geometry when I looked, whats the angles, top tube and seat tube lengths at?

  • I don't post here much but wanted to publicly thank Pistoffski for being awesome and sending me some British steel to Australia.
I gifted it to my better half and she loves it. It's also one of the nicest frames I've ever held and the best bit, no toe overlap.

  • nice Colnago build there Pistoffski, I lust after black Shamals with that old design. Like hens teeth though, especially 10 speed compatible

  • haha funny coincidence! (if only that nago made it here too :D)

  • Wow... 0_0

Fuck me that Colnago is the tits!

Is it me or does the top tube indeed angle down to the head tube?

That is simple gorgeous, one of the best builds I've seen in a long time. applause.jpeg

    Beautiful.

  • It's taken a while but so worth the wait... 10 months and 17 days all in all... ( and yes the seat clamp and seat post need changing... just wanted it on the road asap)

  • congrats! its definitely worth it, amazing colours. looks awesome

  • I was trying to fit my new mini front rack this morning and there isn't space between the top of the mudguard and the canti straddle wire to fit it to the fork crown - the straddle wire is slap-bang in the way. I think all I need to do is fit a longer canti straddle wire, to raise it's height, so that the rack support will go under it.

Before I do this, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. A longer straddle wire won't have a disastrous effect on braking performance will it? My brakes are tektro oryx.

    Thanks.

  • Try it before you put the rack on, see if you can live with the change in braking performance (if any detectable), then put the rack on if so?

From my distant memories of MTBing with canti's in the mid nineties they are easily upset by changes to the stradle wire geometry.

But that was a long time ago, and the past is a different country, or so I am told.

Seeing that LOW// up there makes it a good time to post my HIGH//.

Has now been made a lot more competitive on the CX course with hydraulic disc brake on the front. New tires works wonders too.

Needs to be blacked out a bit more and I'm already saving up for a tubeless wheelset on ZTR Iron Cross rims.

Thanks man. So happy with it. Although I'm yet to actually take it out for a ride... Will be out tonight, and down in London this weekend if anyones about... Will be going on the 5th floor ride...

I think the photo looks odd as the gator is new and has the lips of plastic on the tyre where it's been manufactured etc.

  • you mean the ride to windsor? was thinking about that!

  • you mean the ride to windsor? was thinking about that!

Yeah man the ride to Windsor. Will be riding about on Saturday too if anyone fancies showing me some good routes, Want to get some content for The North Race.

rad as fuck, whats the rear clearance like?

  • The last page had more win on it than Wiggins.

  • I think I've found the best setup for the beater so far...
I swapped out the sexy Nitto stem and Campag seatpost for beater equivalents (SR stem and UNO seatpost). I removed the chop 'n' flops that I'd been running for a few days (now up for freecycle here) and rewrapped the porteur bars in freshly ironed Brooks tape. Also used a bolt to hold the front mudguard instead of a caliper :) will probably fit a brake when I find a suitable reverse bar end lever...

Mega props to Tommmmmmm for gifting me the Rolls in return for a bit of bike storage.

    thoughts?

  • ^Looks good, when you get bored of it send it my way ;)

  • Thanks, will keep that in mind ;)

  • Well I have to think of what to do with this first...

Thinking maybe some gears... but undecided to be honest. Any opinions out there?

  • build it up with your parts bin for now to be sure it fits! that frame shits on self proclaimed "tall people" the world over!

  • Love how those bars feel!
