collar bolt, a nut bolt and washers do a better job!?
Use some fibre grip/carbon paste on the post, you can get away with less tension on the collar. Seen a few newish frames where no amount of tightening would stop the post twisting.

The BB7s are nice and all, but will they sort of wear in? Stopping power is a little poor right now. I'm assuming they'll get better with a bit of use?

Thanks :) As does your leader! I'm liking the colour of the frame for sure.

Different pads will help, the stock ones are made to stop inexperienced riders from doing inadvertent endos.

^^ BB7s can be a little fussy to set up. A variety of things, such as lever type ( Obviously not much you can change with STIs ) & cable housing can make a difference. I read a tip somewhere on grinding the cable outers nice & flat after cutting them. Unfortunately I did this when I first fitted them, so can't comment on any improvement.
Could also be a case of pads bedding in & ^ what Mr Tester said.

Can you reccomend any? My stock pads have been okay but need replacing and it'd be nice to have something with a bit more bite.

Swiss Stop DISC S are good.
It's number 17 for juicys, so I would assume the same for BB7. -
