  • Thats alright that is. Have posted in Rat thread.

  • love it

  • You! You! I was bidding on this too... You best show pics of the build, thats a daft nice frame with a great history.

Build with C-record hubs... there is a front 650 kicking about on here somewhere...

I bid on this too but didn't put my bid in in time. The one that got away etc etc.

  • But then again, I would have slapped a silly plastic wheel on the front and put risers on it, so it's probably for the best.

  • MASH has a new buddy... (not mine, despite my best efforts...)

  • Bianchi beats Mash...

  • Only to Evans.

  • But then again, I would have slapped a silly plastic wheel on the front and put risers on it, so it's probably for the best.

    The horror. Practically a crime.

  • I like my mash, however I do like the Bianchi as well... It's my size, and it's a nice ride. He won't sell me it. Fucker.

Mash is quicker down hills and drinks more, Pista is quicker up hills and wears more lycra....

  • is this the same person selling the wheel? (just out of curiosity...)

  • Yeap same guy.

  • good man has good friends

  • Mash is quicker down hills and drinks more, Pista is quicker up hills and wears more lycra....

    Hahaha.

The 1st ever honest bike review. Repped.

  • So has any one here used a 3 speed hub? or any type of geared hub, i spent the last hour trying to find out about them, but all i can find is pages of boring info but no reviews by people who actually used them.

There is a forum member who's using a Sturmey Archer gear hub on a fixed frame, but can't remember who.

I got a Sturmey Archer s3x going on my beater build.

  • I got a Sturmey Archer s3x going on my beater build.

    Any good?

  • Haven't got it on yet, finding a 26 x 1 1/4 rim that wasn't recked with rust took a while.

The hub is pretty heavy though.

  • Trying to get the hang of posting large pictures

If your photo is 1024 or smaller just click the little at the top of the message box and copy in the address of your photo https://www.lfgss.com/attachments/55223d1340440025-ianmay006.jpg

If your photo is over 1024 it won't imbed.

Too many colours IMO - get rid of that blue outer and red tape. Black for both and you have got a winner!

    edit: maybe black hoods too

  • red tape is cool, just get black cables imo, still a nice bike as it is. Saddle pointing down a little?

  • Yay + white bartape and silver crankset.
    What frame is it?

    Whoops. Never answered this.

Its a small series of steel frames named "Spirit" which were ment for the messenger community i Copenhagen. I think there was made about 200 which are all numbered. Mine is number 130. All tubes are fairly oversize and thick steel to avoid dents and give strength in case of a crash. I'm hoping its fairly stiff but we'll see.
Angles are 75 deg for the HT an 74.5 for the ST so its fairly aggresive too.

    Here's another with original paint.

  • No way.

It all looks perfect. Keep tape and cables.

    Any info about the build?

Thanks for volunteering your top tips.

Thanks for the pointers might do black cloth tape but keep the hoods got a choice of white or black outers, as for the Brooks its well worn so has started to droop a little still very comfortable though.
