Haha, I understand.
Stem I'm getting is a 3ttt pro chrome, which I'm really fond of.Will get a thomson elite stem (silver) in the future.
I like all black bikes, but it's not my style, A bit colour isn't bad.
I got nothing against the colour, I like the burgundy. But I think a bike needs two main colours and no more. Having some silver parts and some black parts and some gu metal/grey is messy. You need one colour to dominate your parts, black is dominating so far so do it all the way. The frame can remain a bright colour.
I am not keen on the white of the tyre walls, amber would look better with everything. But if the frame was black they could look ok. A bit like a 1930's car.

Pretty successful afternoon today. I fitted a new bottom bracket (replaced Miche with Shimano UN55), which I thought would give me a better chainline, but which I assumed would be a precursor to replacing the cranks. Turns out I was wrong about the pedal thread in the crank being fucked, the new setup is quiet as a mouse, but I can actually feel it being stiffer as well, which I didn't expect. So I've saved myself £59.99 basically. Next stop (maybe, when I get a job) Omniums.
Also went and got the top of my steerer lopped off, so my bike looks a bit more acceptable now as well. Now I'm considering bullhorns for the road and a more comfortable saddle, but I'm chuffed with how it is at the moment.

After a bunch of forum pickups the Vitus project is nearing completion. Only missing cockpit, saddle and cabling now. Never mind the drunk stickering of the seat tube!
Probably looking at white housing and bartape. A white turbo or concor replica and purple hoods. Oh and please disregard the noname seatpost. All these campy pickups has started to hurt the budget a bit. If anyone want to donate an italian/french 25.0 at <20 quid for this please let me know ;D
