  • Suddenly this arrived:

  • And with some gummwall tyres it became this:

  • Only thing to do now is wait for my 3ttt pro chrome stem to show up, together with some black grips and some risers. Also need a black marker to give some more black to the rear brake surface.

After that a little bit of saving money to buy a Silver 27.0 thomson seatpost and then it is almost finished.

  • i spotted a red brake cable
sneaking in some hhsbness I see!

    Not a chance! That's going.

Nice men, looking good! Hope you're happy with it!
As for the marker, i always use this one:

  • I am sure happy with it! Really happy :)

Thx for that tip, will order one.

  • ^ That looks like its gonna be well nice to ride mate.

Dunno yet about the gumwalls, but looking forward to seeing it with new stem and bars.

man knows what he's talking about ;)

  • Anyone in Coleford, Gloucestershire that could collect and post an item for me?

Trying to convince a ebay seller to post....

Same here haha, maybe it'll look better when the brake surfaces are nicely black again. But otherwise I'll just change them to black ones again.
Like this the rear rim looks really silver-ish. But is in fact black.

Good to hear you like it! And i always had my wheels blacked out, looks nice and beefy on a skinny steel frame like yours ;) It's all about contrast!

  • man knows what he's talking about ;)

    Haha, you know it ;)

  • I think it would look rad if you got a rear rim to match the deepness of the front and a black seatpost. Looks awesome even as it is though. jel of the spengle

  • I think the rear should match the profile of the front...

    edit: ^beaten to it!!

  • I know I know haha. First will make the brake surface black, as the rim is deeper than a normal.

Was allready looking at some deeper rims, but have to save some money first!

  • And with some gummwall tyres it became this:

nerged for ruining a look and taking it to a skatepark.

  • Bit harsh. And 'snot an actual look, to ease your concern.

  • nerged for ruining a look and taking it to a skatepark.

Lol, what is your problem? It isn't really a look, these stickers were on it when I bought it. Don't know anything about the frame.
    So calm down.

    nerged for being an idiot.

I liked it better before. But now you get extra slavery points.

  • Partly agree with you Elvis. But it isn't finished yet eh. Different stem and bars are coming in from Planet-x, so they'll be here in a week orso.

  • Yeah, I'm a sucker for the classic look (boom boom) so will always prefer drops, traditional wheelsets etc.

  • I would have never expected that bike was gonna get slaved.

Should switch out the rear wheel for a non machined and get more black parts on it ASAP. Headset, seatpost etc - need to be black. The cranks can probably stay but I dont think the skinwall tyres suit it. Maybe if they were the more amber/reddish walls but I think regular back or gatorskins would suit best with the current colourscheme.

  • ^^Okay, this is a fixedgear forum though, we're hip.

  • Rear wheel and seatpost are up next. Will se how nonmachined looks with these tyres. Cranks will stay, I really don't have the money to buy DA, suntour, campa or sg75 (etc.)

Headset is gunmetal, so will stay and stem changes next week to a non black one.

And as I said before, I don't know nothing about the frame, only thing I know is that it isn't a real Look and it was cheap (75 euro's, allready sold the crank that was on it for 50 euro's, so 25 euro's.)

This afternoon I'll pick up the concorde frame I brought to a painter who wanted to spray it for 25 euro's. So if it turned out okay, I may also have this one painted.
