Ha, I've seen it in the flesh, it is nice indeed. Not seen it with the DA wheelset though (I don't think...)

PM Edscoble, he will explain that for you.
Thank you Tom.
Now, fixed with two brakes are greatly underrated, it's surprisingly comfortable on long ride.
Now to mdcc on the weather.

Cold with strong winds and light showers. Failed once more to get under 30:00 for 10 miles on the Pompetamine.

Ah, was it in lorpomode?

No, usual inverted North Road bars. I got under 1:15:00 for 25 on it last summer, just had some really sucky weather for the two evening 10s I've ridden this year.

why rear brake?
it haz flippity flop rear hub ss/fixed. and of course, Ed makes a valid point too.
negative HHSB points though
what's the score? maybe I don't fully understand the HHSB concept
it started with the saddle and toe clips I won at a track day, thought of selling those on but then I found the day-glo bartape and an old Raleigh frame. just trying to build a conversion I'm not sure I would ride myself ;-)

I love it! I reckon a good level side on shot, people would like it more
I will be doing photos of it again when I get the new bars.. Hopefully this weekend.

I'll have a look.
If I'll find them, it's definately cheaper, even with P&P from NL.looking for just the shiny nameplates, both sides, £20+ seems ridiculous....
anyone have a set / know where to get for cheaper?

The build look quite cool, and I like he three fluro bits, I was really just kidding about the negative points, and of course with a free wheel you need a back brake

Something very Sheldon about the Viking, in a good way

Stripped and polished the risers this morning, much prefer them now to the white...
Jury's out on the grey grips, they were only £2 (£4.50 cheaper than the black ones...)

This was a project for my moms birthday. Back in the days she biked a lot and had exactly this type of bicycle, only with roaddrops. Now she's older and doesn't like road bars. I found this one for 20 euro's in perfect state. Cleaned it and put on some new parts and this is what came out:
P1060457 bySeat will soon be replaced by a Brooks B17s

They are Sunline ones from CRC but just checked and looks like they're sold out.
