^ loads of questions!
Interns, well, we got one electronics kid coming in from uni over summer.
Metalwork side, anyone wanting to do some interesting but unpaid work who have some metal working skills probably welcome. Got to come upto Cumbria though ;)Steering is like a shopping trolley. Powered by a single engine, which drives a pair of hydrostatic drives, each drive is totally independent from the other. Linkages drive them between forwards and backwards, they have ridiculously fine control and we've used them on vehicles around the 1t mark without problem. With that motor, probably do 20-25mph, drives could take more, but frankly its more than quick enough.
Yeah its for offroad, only trouble with vehicles like this is there aren't many places you can use them legally, unless you own half of yorkshire lol -

how wide are the bars? are you riding again?
Bars are pretty wide, like 58cm I think? Not riding no, it's doing my head in. Well, rode along the street. Might try a really gentle ride on Sunday if it isn't raining, just to test the water.

Already did - it's 1050 with STI* added later. That places it somewhere between the mid 80s.
*Now that we've seen the close up, it's clear that the STI levers are quite a recent addition, look like Sora ST-3300 but somebody familiar with low end Shimano will know for sure, or you could just look for the part number stamped on them somewhere.
Looks like the levers are Sora yeah, Too bad, thought it was fully 105.
shimano 2300 i think. 1 below sora

Just put a bike rack into my room as we lose the spare room soon....
(positions are temporary (as are the pedals on the road bike), will be trying to fit 3 bikes in if possible... probably wheels off- to placate the landlord)
I also finally got a desk.

i quite like it. two bar end levers looks better than one imo
-
• #60493
For sure, odd levers normally look strange, except trigger levers, but would they rattle if they weren't attached to cables?
