why not drill bars, poke cable through, use tweezers to catch it, pull out near stem, sorted.
An alternative is to create a very tight curve of cable outer and gaffer it in place....

My new wheels turned up today, no longer have the weighty white Charge ones. Rychtarski is nearing completion, just need a new headset then it is done :).
Please ignore the crappy iPhone picture, it was a swift snap between showers.

The other alternative is to run the brake levers upside down

Good point - I was wracking my brains this morning wondering how it used to be done back in the day - Thanks for the reminder - I knew there must be a simple solution! - here's another fine example!!! -

for the life of mine, i cannot figure your height and size of bikes you ride
it goes from tiny like this ^ to some "normal" size rigs )) -
• #60139
This bike is a bit small, but it works well as a beater.
(also the size means my flatmate can use it too- its the grocery bike!)
I ride around a 55 normally.
Might change the saddle also at some point. -

On the cards, couldn't fit it in around torrential downpours today though.

Would definitely be interested, but I don't know the clamp size yet. Is it clamp or braze-on? Also, what year 105 (aiming for all 5600 era if possible)?
I can offer you a complete ultegra groupset from the same era? braze on front mech, triple.

I know the safety of drilling has been discussed but i would advise against drilling the bars especially anywhere close to the stem. Aluminium bars fatigue over time anyway and I've seen a few bars simply snap off at the stem. It wold seem mad to weaken this area.

Comfortable sheep
P.S. The cloth tape is a temporary bodge until I get a couple of new, cleaner rolls, which will hopefully look a lot neater.
