Secondly Lee Cooper sent me one of his new head badges and a set of decals
I did this:
Nice job, although I have to say that Mr Lee Cooper's choice of font looks spookily similar to Mr Ron Cooper's font.

I've got 177.5 on my T3, so if it's inadvisable then I'm operating against advice. If your legs are long enough and you compensate with the gear ratio to keep the gain ratio constant, there's no reason to worry, unless you're on a steep track.
sweeet. i'm doing it then - i have a 36" inside leg and run 180's on my mtb so it won't feel strange - just maybe some problems with toe overlap but i'll try not to turn any corners ;)
you just made my day!

New (and first) project.
Dave Marsh frame - not going to be to everyone's taste, but I really like it.
Just got the wheels from v-sprint - Mach1s on Miche (the rim stickers may have to go)
Ignore the tyres, just put some on so it's not naked. The rest is a bit up in the air - it'll be a slow build as I get the funds together, but looking for a nice crankset next. Something simple and silver.

Nice! Miche primato maybe? Not that expensive. I mean the one with silver chainring, I have them and enjoying them.
Or do you want to go more classical?

Cheapo SS project. Got all parts but not sure how to paint it. Tried out some gun blue on the raw metal for fun but not sure if i like the finish..

Thanks! Yeah I think a bit more classic - they might be a bit shouty on this frame. Was looking at these:
Wiggle | Campagnolo Record Pista Track Chainset Chainsets
but they're not cheap -

That's hell of an overprice though.

if you wanted something a bit cheaper still, then the c-record era cranks can be had fairly cheaply and look nice and understated.
these are the chorus ones, which i've had for under £30 on ebay, and look brilliant polished up. (converted to single ring for fixed obviously) -

That frame is awesome.
A hairdryer will help with removing the rim stickers.

Nice to finally see a 'tonta' frame over here. Their mad cheap at about 180 pounds. Keep it blank with black parts.

Ha. He rides a sociable(ish) pace as well, I manage to keep up... Or at least he doesn't complain about waiting for me.

Run into a hurdle in setting up my dew drop with promenade handlebars (which feel fantastic I must say). I cannot fit both the brake levers and shifters on the bar because of the extreme bends, even the brake levers alone are tricky to align in a usable position. It looks like I may have to put them in a really fucked up looking spot, either right next to the stem or somewhere in between. Neither of the options are as convenient as I wouldve liked. Still much more usable than cheap STI's I reckon though. Main problem is how ridiculous it looks. Babylon 5 bike.

is it 9 speed triple?
I've a pair of these somewhere, which could be the solution?
