  • Do the ES have the fat alu spokes? Do not want. Bike sounds sweet though. Not far at all from the road bike I'm promising myself at some (undefined) point in the (distant) future.

it's got big flat bladed spokes, yeah. With the aluminium nipples that always seize. Which is why they now have new spokes as well as new rims.

  • bring that on the off road to brighton ride...

  • I'm quitting my job and want to work in LMNH if it means I can afford bikes like that!

  • Or any bike shop that sell the bike you want.

    I.e. genesis cdf; £500

  • Flow Myth custom build finished at the weekend. Fox Vanilla forks, XT 9 speed gears, gusset BB, crank, chainring, stem, Haye Nine brakes. Runs lovely and is my new favourite bike.

Needs (to get it spot on) - saddle angle, black headset spacers, bar ends*, chain guide, rear wheel bearings.

    • This is a bar-end.

This is something which to my mind does not exist, let alone have the same name as what you put on the end of your bars for aesthetic and safety reasons. I've blanked them out -

    You mean "bar end plugs".

  • new crankset, new seatpost, new tires

  • I hate that you're my height.

  • ^^^ What bars are those Eingang?

Profile, ControlTech and Nitto all do something kinda similar in shape, but yours, and others I've seen, but can't identify, seem to have the bars coming into the rider a bit on the down slope...

  • syntace stratos 200, the best bullhorn in my opinion

  • 23.8mm clamp then?

Not sure exactly but they are smaller than average

  • Bit sick of riding to work up a hill with single speed, so i could either stick a 3 or 7 speed hub in my beater (it has no mech hanger) or this....

  • 7 speed ftw

  • Do you have deformed hands or something?

  • 7 speed ftw

    7 speed hub?

  • make what you mocked up it looks good, if you can do it single speed 7 will be plenty

  • Looks shopped. I've seen a fair few in my time etc...

  • Just used Smoothdraw actually, i don't use photoshop.

  • All sounds good, but I'd seriously reconsider the Ksyriums if I were you.

+1 - if you are going to push the boat out on the build get something hand built (Royce hubs and Mavic or Ambrosio rims).

  • Deep section carbon or GTFO

  • ^This. Also, Aksium > Ksyrium

  • +1 - if you are going to push the boat out on the build get something hand built (Royce hubs and Mavic or Ambrosio rims).

maybe, the fact I already have these wheels is swaying my opinion.

    Deep section carbon or GTFO

    already got some.

  • Still not sure carbon fairing really counts. Whatevs, sounds interesting enough.

  • sick burn

  • Aksium > Ksyrium

really? im pretty sure its the other way round?
