  • They're not I'm afraid - they're old Mavic SUP clinchers; I'm using standard pads, though I should probs use some ceramic ones. They came to me in this condition though.

  • I have both caps on all bikes apart from the wheels I race on. I make sure of this in the winter. It's bad enough having to try to undo the little valve thing let alone doingit in the cold with the threads covered in crap. I agree that Conti should make them in a less conspicuous colour though. Shwalbe clear valve caps ftw

    Personally I've always binned them (and the little thumb-screw-washer that threads onto the valve stem). I tend to pump my tyres up every day and it's just one less thing for my tiny brain to deal with. I'd definitely loose a clear cap at the next puncture anyway.
