Ed how do you plan on drilling the dolan for a rear brake? I'd be tempted by the frame if it could run a rear brake.

Bye bye track drops and cross lever, hello road drops and road levers.

Looking good ! Those drop levers looks great too !

Well by using a drill I presumed, just have to be careful.
It's quite jarring to rely on your legs as well as the front brake to slow down, not as easy as two brakes.

Them dura ace levers are really nice, they look a bit to modern to not be STI. Really suit the bike.

Good thing you can get replaceable hood for it nowadays.

Yeah, they were the last non-STI Dura-Ace levers they made. The grey/silver/black matches the rest of the bike to a tee. Almost too well... The red 'heat treated' label on the Nittos also picks up the tiny flashes of red on the tyres and the saddle (unintentionally).

Yeah, these are NOS but I probably will pick up a spare pair of hoods for the future.

Oof! Very nice. Something about those levers with the squarish bars.

Yeah I just worry about the integrity of the frame if your drilling it. I prefer 2 brakes for my legs to be honest. Even more so for my knees.

How are you finding the brake levers? And how much were they?
-
• #58539
Regal. That bar brake set up is lovely. The bike definitely deserves it.

Bravo.

So I have everything I need for my Yuba Mundo build, except a stem. The frame has a 1/8" threaded headset. I'm assuming I could replace headset and forks to gain a preferred ahead set-up. But dont really want the extra cost.
So what would be the stiffest 60mm quill stem option? (25.4mm clamp).
This is a utility bike so looks not important, but I guess I'd prefer silver.

Loved that Feather, you gotta take another photo of it when it's completed again.

Yup, will post a better pic when it's all cabled, taped & done.

The chainring is already matte black.
Fair enough, it just looked darker and shinier than the frame.

Recently bought from eBay? What's the plan for it?
-
• #58549
yeah off ebay, bar and stem not sure, waiting to snare some ridiculous pursuit type setup, selle super pro saddle, shimano drivetrain, dual discs, if i can get one to fit the front i'll try and match it on the rear, HEDs would be nice seeing as its USA built, and ZIPP as far as i know never made a 24", or sugino 75 would also be ridiculously nice
