Not the place, but it is for my current project, how many people here know of anyone/have had a biked nicked which has been locked up with a fahgettaboudit? Are they as good as £100 makes them out to be
Locks thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>
We're talking about trainers and fragrances.

I knew it wasn't suitable, but couldn't think where else to go, it all seems so clear now
but trainers and fragrances are good too

Because of the availability of cheap, high powered cordless power tools like angle grinders. ANY lock can be cut without much grief. Locks just buy you time.
Apparently most locks can also be frozen and cracked, I dont know the details of that method though.

Bottom line is this; if a thieves really want your bike, they'll get it.

Excusing the mess...got a few parts left to get, a little bit uncertain about the chainset and in need of a stem but getting there slowly.
-

I see (I think) what you mean about the chainset.
Maybe a Sugino 75 to compliment the square shouldered, thin tie look about the thing?
Fun looking project there. -

^^ Oh...'sorry bout that :S
Nice option the Sugino, hadn't really looked into them. Was keen to stick with the Record theme but finances will be the deciding factor. Possibly not much in it?

Forks don't match the bike, but are carbon with a carbon steerer - very light frameset.

Just got this 653 from ebay, experimenting with 54cm to see if it'll fit me any better. Gonna switch my Tricolore/7400 group over to it this weekend.
In the meantime, anyone recognise that logo on the forks? It's also on the downtube but has been painted over (and Colnago decals added...)
The serial number is preceeded by an SR logo, so I assume it's one of those, but what's the whites business?
