thanks.
6.8 - wow... you have the CF I presume? [edit] yes I saw the white one in your album, very nice! [/edit]
SRAM Red is still the lightest groupset innit? somehow I thought Campagnolo inappropriate on a German drawing board bike (as oppposed to an Italian bellissima design bike...)
it's more about cost efficiency, I'm hoping to get a pre-loved campag groupo cheaply soon. Without a power-meter and with 1400g tubs I should be able to get thereabouts.

New Deda bar tape, new inner/outer brake cables, Fizik Pave gel saddle with titanium rails, 8 speed Mavic wheelset, Shimano 600 downtube shifters, Look Arc pedals. Will try to rig up gear cables, put a new chain on, clean the wheelset and put tyres on this week so it's good to go for the weekend!

Don't worry, it'll look nice in the sunshine! (if it doesn't I'll got for black)
The red scuff guards will be replaced by black ones.
Thanks for your comments

Nice Canyon. Peter you're near Breda? I know there are a few designers on here... so I'll link to the design festival* which is held there.
*it's fantastic – much more fun than most.

thanks! and yes, Breda from here is less than an hour by bike
my girlfriend is a graphic designer (but is not 'into the scene' all that much) so I think we'll have a look there, funny to get a heads-up via [strike]a London[/strike] the forum

Been trying to sell this frame but I've had no luck so I put some bits on it.
Just need a chain and to pinch some pedals from another bike and it is good to go.It is a bit of a mismatch with parts at the moment but oh well.

So this is ma current project, been working on it for a while and I have one, quick question, I was just wanting any opinions on whether double TB14 (which is on the front) would look good, or should I stick to the SL42? Was looking for any suggestions before I splash out...

Matching wheels always look better IMO (with the exception of crazy carbon track/tt/HHSB combos)

waaaaoooh very nice lo pro but 16 spokes on a rear wheel ...
fore me a low pro hase to have large profiles of rims ,put some Mavic CXP14 or campi Oméga or a Vento 20 spokes if you are not to heavy rear and your porn Shamal 650

TB14 look much more suitable on skinny steel, IMHO etc. etc.

I'm with Ed on this one.
Rebuild one wheel set with TB14's a week ago, and it looks well with both thinner and fatter tubes of the frame. I probably will get another set of those rims. -

Gaston, 16-spoke rear Shamals from the 1990s are still being raced every week - they are plenty strong.
