  • I'm going to assume they're something to do with the 3 people in the reflection.

  • that car's going to stink.

  • For brakless aleycat once it's not a BMX ; ) Allez 4 photos ! on Vimeo

    for longs rides ever

if the chain breaks i put my foot on the rear tubless and pray ...remember my street bike is red

How did we forget? Sincere apologies.

  • there are weekly quizzes about Gaston's bikes on pignonfixe.fr, to be sure nobody forgets any one of them.

  • there are weekly quizzes about Gaston's bikes on pignonfixe.fr, to be sure nobody forgets about the backwards seatposts.

  • ever since I saw this in pignonfixe's porn thread, I stopped taking them seriously

  • Black suede Regal-e UP for the Feather. There's going to be a lot of CP action this weekend.

Looks amazing, but every little touch leaves a mark which must then compulsively be smoothed back. I'm going to have to ride out of the saddle the whole time.

  • ^ :D

    +1 for neurotic saddlestroking

  • Thinking of building a fixed (rather than buy OTP) but only to save money, so any advice on whether it is worth it? Looking to spend about £500.

I already know a somewhat fair amount about bikes, so don't want to be build just for gaining the knowledge etc.

If it is a good idea to build then how much of the £500 should I look to spend on a frame and then the rest?

I've only ever ridden MTBs and have a eager interest in Dutch bikes, so fixeds are somewhat new to me, but I like ridin' 'em!

Full Track bikes often pop up around the £400 pound mark... you can spend the other £100 on parts to tailor it to your tastes...

  • If you want a cheap-but-new pukka track bike, keep your eye on Dolan's eBay store - cheap frames come up quite frequently.

Or you can get a complete Precursa for £450.

  • have a nice day

even did that on my turbo

  • I was just in BLB asking if Phil do a larger diameter washer for their hub bolts. I was sure I had seen such a thing BLB said no and now looking online I can't find it. Does any one know if this exists?

  • Ouch. Well, good luck getting them back.. Got any pics of the Gefsco? Mine had no stickers so I'm assuming it was pre Gefsco times.. Do you know if he is contactable? Maybe some decals are in order, the guy I bought it off was going to stick Colnago ones on, but I said I wouldn't buy it if he did ;)

Very Nice I'm from Australia and also have a Gefsco track frame that was stolen when my house was broken into along with a Cannondale roady. 2 weeks later I see my Cannondale riding down my street follow it to find my Gefsco frame there half sanded back destoying the pearl marroon paint. But at least I will get it back when the police release the evidence.

The Denti was picked up on Australian Ebay.

and Yup Mavic group has had some serious polishing hours put in. Now since that photo I have picked up a NOS Mavic seat post so the only part left to find is some Mavic Drops.

  • As we're talking about bike shops:
My mate bought a Charge Plug Freestyler for £100 yesterday off ebay.
Previous owner rode fixed and so the bike had no back brake.
He knows nothing about bikes and as I've built a fair few, I'm helping him out with sourcing a few bits n bobs.
So I sent him to Spitalfields Cycle Surgery which is near his office to get a brake cable for the back as well as ask if he could have a rummage in their parts bin for a recessed nut amongst other things (I gave him a rear Condor caliper).

He rides single speed. So obviously they told him "you don't need a back brake mate, front one does all the work, you'd be better off spending your money on some new grips"

Yeah so you can hold on tight and comfortably when you smack into the pavement

  • Its arguable, but frnt brake works on ss too, not only on fixed gear bikes =))

  • can't be getting advice that breaks the law from such a mainstream shop.

+1 to Cycle Surgery Holloway Road though

  • +1 for value for money.

  • ever since I saw this in pignonfixe's porn thread, I stopped taking them seriously

    thanks it was in 2007

    Not a argument bro

  • Not a argument bro

If you stick here too much BRO youre gonna miss the elections

  • I must say there are some dreadful bikes also in the depths of the LFGSS Bike porn.
