Not to sure- I think they may be an all silver version of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VUELTA-CORSA-LITE-700C-WHEELS-1578-gm-Campagnolo-NEW-/380364539543

Installing a SRAM brake caliper to a carbon fork and I'm a bit hesitent to use the serrated-edge washer in case it rips into the carbon.
It won't even go all the way through the clear coat. Millions of bikes are being used with serrated washers on carbon fork crowns, you don't hear a lot of tales of woe.

Trying out something with my "practical" bike. Took off the drops and hoods and put on relaxed bars and basket, and changed from clipless to clips and straps. More than a bit early yet but the idea is something that will let me cruise through summer without too much sweat. Need a new brake lever if I decide to keep it like this, and maybe a rear rack.

Looks like a good time cruising around in the summer.
Note for myself: Get a basket for my beater.

Well i just got the front tyre i was after so i thought i would put the tyres and tubes on and take a pic, but they wont fit on the rims??
I tried the same tyre on a wheel i knew was 700c and they went straight on without tyres levers, but not close to fitting on my Miche Pistard wheels, so they must be 28"?
Confused....

put some more effort into it

28 = 700c. So yes they are.

you can't even blame it on the tyres being made slightly smaller than specs because you failed with both.

I've got a worrying pop/clank sound coming from the drivetrain on my mercian track, using a 1/8 chain from an old hercules ladies bike on 1/8 villiers cog and 1/8 ta chainring, seems to be coming from the chain's connection with the cog over any bb problems, and is quiet when hand spinning but loud when riding. chainline is perfect, and its greased etc, not over tight either...
have searched google and on here, but can seem to get any ideas as to what the problem is... loathe to just buy a new chain as that might not be the issue.. sorry if Ive missed something super obvious.
anyone know if older 1/8 chains/cogs had different sizings or anything?

Have you ever installed a tyre? you really need to put one side in before the other, it seems you have done both at once
-
• #57392
tiswas; every couple of rotations, but its regular, which undoes my theory that it might be a badly connected chain...

new bike time
-
• #57394
hmmm...
wut?
-
• #57395
oh fuck, I meant to put that its ir-regular, that it wouldn't be the same point each time...
I hand wound it to a place where it was making a slight pop, and looked at all the connecting links and they seemed fine... obviously cant really see/hear, cause the weightload of your arm is massively different to yer body/legs vs road.

From the photos I have come to the realisation that you are doing it wrong!
You should pump a tiny bit of air into the tube s it's barely inflated, fit it into the tyre, then start by putting the valve through the valve hole on the rim, then seat one side of bead first, then the other. Aim to work both hands round from the valve, to meet opposite the valve... The last few inches may be difficult but use your thumbs.
I would actually suggest going to your LBS or asking a friend for a masterclass though, I can see many a pinched tube on the horizon.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yMs3g2q0cw"]Removing
