You ain't seen nothin' yet.

I may have an 1,1/8th if I get myself an 80mm. Stem on the mtb is too short and I have no use for a 60mm stem

• #54554
26 clamp?
-
• #54555
Yep.
I'll check the bank, but I think I should be able to get me a stem to replace it.
-
• #54556
No rush on oz. Wish I had an 80mm I could send you, the shortest stem I could find at home was a 100mm and between that, the length of the frame and bullhorns, the reach is just too far.

• #54557
I have plenty of 100mm stems, too many almost.

Cheers.
@Spotter, As pointed out, the bike mainly does duty as my training bike for TTs and Tris so I'm used to the forward position (especially since none of my races are UCI governed so I can flout any regulations about saddle position retaliative to the BB). Initially I actually spent a while trying to get a close match of my TT position on this bike (something which Mr Tester kindly advised on over in the TT thread), but that proved impossible given the frame/components so the result is my muddled attempt at a compromise that is comfortable and seems to work for me. That said I've never had a coach look at my position on this bike so I don't really know.
@Tester, you're right an inline post would be better but the Ritchey is what I had, and right now I can't afford to buy more stuff where I already have something sufficient (if not ideal). As it is, almost everything (bar the wheels which I already owned) were effectively NOS and heavily discounted. I don't think the whole caboodle cost more than £400 excl. wheels.
The branding puzzles me too, because so far as I can tell Concorde don't exist any more. The frame was NOS from Colnago Costa on here but he didn't know much more about it. The closest I can find is Wiggle's Kiron Mistral frame. Still, as for the branding I think I quite like it.
I don't think you can remove the wheel stickers but IMO plain black is always best. PX now do an unbranded line but I've had these wheels a while and I'm not about to buy a new set just to lose the stickers.
I'm a bit mixed on the hoods too, maybe black would have been better, but I like the blue - it doesn't quite match the blue on the frame but a bit of use will darken them up a bit. Plus I think blue will look better if/when I swap to white tape for summer. Whatever, the current blue is definitely better than the ripped yellow ones that they came with.

first 'proper' ride today a 20 mile loop to my friends bewery and back.. sadly it was very very windy and up a hill i thought i was in 2nd gear so pulled to get into the smallest when i was already there thus pulling out my soldered gear cable and leaving me with 8 miles to travel with a 90+ gear inch... shitter
also wearing my race shoes the instep is so high on them they mean i have to raise my saddle by an inch making the drop even more sever but no back ache as yet
other wise good, i like this bike! now the cable is out i can replace the shifter with my non-indexed one so shifting should be better too

Looks awesome tilover, gutted about the solder...!
I've just been working on this
It's light and fast, real fast. Built up with alot of bits I had lying around and some that came with the frame. I need a carbon 1" fork without eyelets (!!) and I'm playing around with fit, thought I was going to need a shorter stem but it feels pretty right as it is. Need to ride it further.
As for the bar angle, is this a faux pas? This angle might not look right but it feels right.
and the spacer stack - playing around with position as I said, and need a new fork so no point cutting this one down.

Depending on your steerer length I have some 1" carbon without eyelets that I would swap.

If it feels right it is right.

I've only been back into cycling for a little while now but I've just finished having a go at building my first single speed. Any thoughts/criticism/blatantly obvious faults would be appreciated.
From the (crap phone) picture it probably just looks like an off the peg Foffa because I bought the frame and seat from there (it's not I promise). The luganos came with the BB, chainset (46T), freewheel (17) and wheelset that I got from singlespeedcomponents.co.uk.
As someone who started with very little idea of what to do and had a lot of stupid questions to ask, Matt from singlespeedcomponents and Dani Foffa both showed a real interest in my project and were very helpful. I know Foffa bikes have an interesting reputation round here but the Prima frame seems good and Dani was a real pleasure to buy stuff from. I went round a lot of shops and was generally put off by the experience before picking up this frame.
Anyway, I took it out for it's first ride today and it was a real pleasure. It certainly feels lighter, more responsive and faster than my Charge Sink.

so, just been offered these forks
not gonna lie, I kinda like em.
Well having seen what's come out of your parts bin in the last couple of weeks that sounds very promising, cheers Ed.
