:(
I prefer them. -

Also, I would have absolutely no fucking idea if I wanted 12 or 16nm
-
• #53655
I went 16 in the end, solely because the little nm indicator strip was red and matched the colour of the build. and they were £20 cheaper on whichever site I was on at the time. feels about right, a little stiff to start with but they've mellowed/I've adjusted.

Project CSG is GO, GO, GO!
In the bin so far: Chris King R45 hubs, Carbon 56mm Tubular Rims, Chris King Ceramic BB, Cane Creek AER headset, 3t ARX Ltd Stem, 3t Ergosum Ltd Bars, 2x Vittoria Evo Corsa SC Tubs, Lizard Skins DSP tape, Look KEO Max 2 Carbon pedals, ROTOR Chain Catcher, Powercordz Prime Cable System, KCNC Top Cap/Bung, 2x Elite Patao 74 Carbon cages and KCNC Bottle Cage Bolts
sounds good.

This thread backs up the 16nm argument: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=97106
I went with 16nm, but I'm still waiting on cranks so haven't tried them yet. I have the KEO Sprints on other bikes though and I have them cranked to max tightness which is, I believe, 15nm and thery're nowhere near to being too tight.

Cheapo beater knocked up for a mate as a christmas present. Terrible picture as ever.
Loads of second hand bits from here and some junk out of the parts bin. Managed to put it together for just over £120 which I'm pretty pleased with. Looks shit but rides quite nicely and hopefully will result in a new cyclist

Do you have the rear wheel to match the silver front?

Do you have the rear wheel to match the silver front?
no sorry, it was given to me by a friend as it had a seized axle and qr skewer which needed replacing, the rear wheel was binned as it was ruined

Could not get the 48/28 chainring in time so have to make do with 46/30.
So. much. better.

gear inches?
-
• #53667
Yes, there is inches in the gears.
-
• #53668
That will be good for the lakes.
The 46 will mean more* time in the big ring will be with a straightish chain.
*...than a 50 or 52 that is
-
• #53669
It does, it felt a hellua lots smoother too, even on the 28t cassette.
Got to replaced the freewheel with a barely used 14-28t Suntour Ultra 6 one I got for free, tempting to put Campag groupset on it thought... (Campag Victory rear dérailleur and Grand Sport front dérailleur)

No it won't, in fact i'll be careful in how the bicycle look, and I do tend to make sure they look good (as oppose to functional).
Why no KEO Blades?
