To be fair I am going to use downtube shifter so that give me a wide range of handlebar to change to.

(1x10)
..is going to look silly with that left hand boss and front dérailleur tab hanging in the breeze. Do the right thing and fit two chainrings. Also, is it 130mm OLN?
-
• #53637
It is 130 OLN, and 700c F&R.
1X10 as I got some 10 speed parts lying around, until I can get a double chainset.

i really want a geared lo-pro with risers, is that awful?
-
• #53639
It give me a reason to use this bar that I have lying around for years;
Although I very much like to have this instead;

The whole lopro with riser thing confuses me, riding Les with risers sucked, just too short. Bullhorns are way better... I've now got bullhorns, aerobars and a bar end lever just need to put it all together and I've got my fixed TT machine... Can't wait to start time trialling to work (:

• #53642
ed I prefer the top bars.
maybe.
-
• #53643
How stupid of me, I just realised I got a 52/42 biopace chainset that'll be perfect for the low pro, paired with an 8 speed 12-23 cassette I reckon I got it sorted.

Trip to Argos, dropping off roberts frame for a respray. Saw some nice stuff that had just been finished, especially the Paris frame.Can't help but feel a tiny bit sad/nostalgic... but equally I can't wait to see it resprayed, rebuild and ridden*.
What was the final decision on colour?
*not that I'm going to start secretly watching you ride it.

^Last time he said it was gonna be the white blue fade.. But then not from front to back, but side to side if you get what I mean.. Like that gorgeous Roberts from Johnny Lau/Rau..

I know that 700c can be run on some 26" frames, but has anyone ever done it the other way around (26" wheels on 700c frame) in order to get larger tyres on. Would this work?
-
• #53649
depends on how big the tyres are. - it all comes down to the chainstay clearance; y u not put big 700c on? like this?
