Update on the leader, I said it was finished and not a project - how was I mistaken.
Due to I'll design and/or my mahoosive bum, the seat post area gave way and frame is a write-off.
Can anyone lend me a 31.6mm seat post for a week until mail-order shipped mine for the warranty replacement frame? Needless to say, it won't be another 735 frame. I also have the original leader carbon aero post going for sale now, if anyone is interested. Pm me for measurements, but I know it's for a 27.2mm clamp.
Thanks in advance!
did I spot you riding past East Dulwich train station this morning? About 9.30-45 ish?

To add to my Team Banana Project I built two years ago
I brought these two frames from the UK Time Trialling legend that is Ian Cammish which were built for him by the Raleigh Special Bicycle Diviion.
The larger of the two frames has now been stripped, and refinished in the old Raleigh Team Banana colours to mimic the actual bike that Malcolm Elliot had built for him for his attempt on the world hour record.
My painter stripped the frame and forks, and then refinished them in yellow and black. I then pinstriped the lug work in the yellow areas, before applying all the re-pro'ed graphics a friend of mine made for me (including the one off 'Banana Dyna-Tech' on the top tube), and replacing the original Dyna-Tech 23-25 Titanium frame badge. To top it off I then copied and hand painted the signature of Ian Cammish onto the seat tube before sending the frame back to the painters for clear coat.Last weekend I got the frame back, complete with the specially painted Cinelli Angel aerobars, and powdercoated chainring.

Awesome! What size is that ring?

Just to start with I'm going to be riding 50x15, but I may drop the rear cog depending on how my rpm's go on a TT course.
The road bike has 48x16 which means I spin out at about 28mph so the 50x15 should keep me going whist I get fit again. -

These are stunning.
You ma wake up one morning to find the Paint Police have visited, repainted your banana bike, restoring it's fluro features.

Powdercoated chainring? Isn't that a bad idea mechanically speaking?
-
• #53062
Ah yes, but one is kept in its flouroscent yellow originality!
And the other has been re-sprayed after careful consideration between myself and it's pro previous owner, who is incidentally exceedingly pleased to see life being breathed into the frame once more.More so a friend of the guy who did the decals is ex Raleigh Pro Adrian Timmis and he's well impressed at this build. So much so that he's gone digging around in his shed for his old Raleigh frame that he rode the TdF on in '87.

Not too bad.......it will wear, but only to the silver underneath, and the bright yellow chain will cover most of that. It's also a very thin powdercoat so it shouldn't affect the fit of the chain onto it. If it proves to be a problem then a steady hand and a scalpel will be used to clear the teeth of powdercoat whilst leaving the main body of the chainring black.

plenty of people have powdercoated chain rings. The original paint was dope, but if you have two then fair game. I personally don't like the team banana colours, but there are plenty who do.
Good bit of provenance going on as well.

New Raleigh paintjob
I have genuinely enjoyed the level of thought you have put into this. Rather than an ill-conceived, spontaneous puppy killing you have found the softest pillow available and pressed it tenderly to Rover's face.
Kudos.

A mate has a C50.
I asked him what the holes in the chain stays were for. He said "my sandwiches".
