  • Cheers guys! I think it's working out nicely, pretty much exactly as I envisioned it... Fair one on the second toptube, but I have enough "regular" bikes as it is... as Spotter pointed out.

Speaking of which, when I've actually finished them I'll selling a 90s concorde with period full ultegra/600, and a "budget" full campag, full carbon road bike... a few more weeks work to do on those though, and want to get Les finished first.

  • ^What size is that Concorde, 62? pm will be sent after I have a shower.

  • think ST either a 61 or 62 ctc and think the TT is 59

bear in mind though, it's a little way off being finished.

  • any closeups of the stem&bars?

  • Look like a normal bar set-up that been painted.

  • that clamp doesn't look normal

  • from this angle looks like the clamp/bars are oval but not sure

  • that clamp doesn't look normal

    don't doubt the scoble!!!

  • I see what seems to be aerobars with integrated stem. Painted custom, neon green.

yep, this. Oval and integrated with the stem.

  • Also, this is my Gazelle, just a nice ride, nothing special.

  • Original paint was well nice too. Still looks coool.

  • original paint wasn't great, there was a fair few large patches of rust bubblings, and rather than a nice patina it just looked tired.

Far from a puppy, at least this old dog will be enjoyed by me, he was up for sale for a long while and noone else wanted him!

  • Just spent a bit of time sorting the boardman. New tyres, new chain (sram this time, KMC snapped on me thrice! must have been a bad un....) different saddle, carbon pasted the shiz out of the steerer.

all i need to know now is, Dammit, where'd you get that butt ugly linear thingy? was it a straightforward fit? and are there any prettier alternatives...?

Fair enough, thought it was just clean grey with the simple decal. I do love the way it's headed.

  • Yeah I had planned on keeping it silver, after seeing in the flesh though figured I might as well strip it... I've been craving a raw frame with all black parts for a while.

Are there clamp bolts under the bar?

  • Is that LES?!! Harry's LES?

    Love that frame.

  • indeed it is Les!

  • Good ol' Les - such a great frame. Looks nice with the wheels too - only ever seen it with Open Pros.

Careful with the chain tension / number of links, the rear dropouts aren't huge

  • Are there clamp bolts under the bar?

I think they are the mounting bolts for the computer mount, which would make the bars Pro Stealth or Deda Alanera, which both use similar mounts.

  • Yeap, gonna see if I get lucky, if not I'll probably have to get hold of a half link.

  • A friends Garlatti (not sure about that) and he asked me: Save or make it flipflopp? I`m for save but he is for fixed, help us decide.

  • oh boy...
