The thing is that it's a late 70's/early 80's track frame, 531c with clearances for 27" tubs... meaning,
atm a 28c has loads of room there, I guess I could easily fit a 32c.
Then, 1) I probably won't ride it as a track bike, just because I got plenty to choose from. Can't justify building it.
2) To sell it means to deal with it being slaughtered with shite parts, and I got sorta attached to it... and it wouldn't be worth that much. Prolly enough for a CX frame.
3) If I do get the braze-ons on, at least Ed will have a week, maybe 2, of rest. -

How dumb would it look/be, to have some brake mounts brazed onto this frame?
As in cantilevers mounts. Two questions; 1) whats the max tyre clearances; and 2) why?
IMO if it can take 32cx tyres and you run some drops it'll look sweet. For some reason I really want a steamroller with canti's...so I get where you're coming from. But if you're just going to run 25/28c tyres its a bit pointless.

umhhh, they are sound reasons, better with mounts that store in the back of the wardrobe....

just do it, at least the frame will be getting used and enjoyed....
rather than braze ons, doesn't anyone make clamp on/band on mounts?
-
• #51563

What size is the frame?

If you want to sell it and a commitment it won't be built up with shite, let me know. I'm looking for a track frame.
