looks swish fade, mind me asking how much it was all in? and also the weight?
Thanks! I think overall its still sitting at just under £1000 after managing to sort the groupset out for a bit less than expected. Haven't totaled everything up though, and I'm not sure I want to! I have no real idea how much it weighs, would really like to know as well, just have no way of finding out accurately at the moment. I do think the wheelset lets it down a bit though.
Raleigh setup looks good, are you planning to do some touring on it then?

+1
It's always good to have a set of cheap and tough wheels though. Ideal for winter/night/training rides.
Everything else should see you to Cat 3 next year, no problem.

Take it down boots and shove it on their scales.
I needed some new ones for this coming week so i thought i may as well get some good ones now. Though i have been thinking if i don't get a new job soon i might do some touring by myself.

They're being made from scratch by Tom at Demon, I spent much of the early half of the year working up the design based on my tattoo and another Iban design (was born and spent 6 years (amongst the Headhunters) in Borneo ... true fact!). The only fabrication I did was a mock up out of paper.
A lot of time by yourself with a file
I spend enough time in the office already ...

Makes me want to get the nitromors out
followed by various grades of paper, followed by hours of polishing out and buffing and then repeating the polishing all the time and it sill not looking perfect.
Have done it before and I'm not bitter...

^That's my old frame meek.tv, of which you were interested how it would turn out like around Christmas.. Here it is in my incarnation.. Have better, non-phone, pictures, but not to hand..
You are keeping it well polished Mike, or is that for the picture? ;) And the carbon post, is that going to be an aero one? Because I think that really works on the frame (see my incarnation).. -

Ohyeah, after the above comment, if you want it done, let it be done by a chemical stripper.. I had it done here in Holland by a company who dipped it in some kind of chemical (twice, was diehardpaint) but it turned out great.. No sanding, very nice grain to the alu, and only a quick polish made it shine like silverware..
