  • +1 Power grips rule.....the spd's are only used for going far & fast these days!

i won't be doing either lol

  • 61cm Fuji track done for now (will eventually change wheels and cranks). Nothing special but pretty quick. excuse the dark pics.

    Aero bits:
Profile T2 wing with internal cable routing
    Deda Tri bars
PX Carbon Fork (should save 20 mins over 25 miles)
Carbon Aero Seatpost (15* mins over 25 miles)
Specialized aero bottle (45 mins over 25 miles)
Total aero savings: 1 hr 20, I won't need to train for months!

    other bits:
Cinelli lumen tape (already dirty after 2 days)
    Tiagra caliper, ITM lever
Adjustable stem, will replace with a normal one once position is sorted.
    Carbon spacer (only 2 grams!!1)
    pump
Rock hard selle san marco saddle
    Refuse front, armadillo rear

*would be more, but I use a saddle pack

  • You must be tall - 61 with the seat all the way up there.

  • Total aero savings: 1 hr 20, I won't need to train for months!

that is the stupidist thing i've heard in months.

you should get a teardrop helmet and disc wheels too.....they''d prob save you another 2 hours.

I like it. wouldn't the aero savings made by the water bottle be offset slightly by have your pump sticking out to the side of the downtube?

Not such a small world after all!

  • Heres my Paddywagon with new wheels cranks and seat, just need some new bars and stem and i think its done.

    Nice saddle. Grumblegrumblegrumble.

  • lol i should of got the bars as well :)

  • Finally finished my Colnago Track build, went out for a spin on the weekend and took a few pics.

I got the frame way back last March off a guy in Italy, the paint work was knackered so I had it resprayed Pearl White and new decals applied. The rest of that time I've been slowly collecting all the parts with the aim of building up a vintage Italian Track bike.

The parts are pretty much all Italian and from roughly the right era.
Colnago Mexico Track, Mid 70s I think?
Campagnolo Record Pista - Hubs, Cranks, Pedals, Headset, BB, Seatpost
Cinelli bars and stem with leather stitched bar wrap.
    Selle Italia suede saddle.
The hubs are laced to Mavic Open Pros (Wheel build thanks to Gabes!) because I gave up trying to find vintage 36H Clincher rims and they still have that classic look especially with the Veloflex tyres.
Plus a Phil Wood sprocket to finish it all off!

Still got a few adjustments to make to the saddle position and the LH pedal is sticking a bit so might need re-greasing but the ride is really smooth and a lot of fun!

  • that deserves tubs and to be ridden on the track

i dunno, if it isn't being ridden on the track tubs would be a hassle. as an inanimate object it deserves nothing. it's being looked after, loved and respected, what's the problem?

    STUNNING bike motman, gorgeous.

  • NIcest bike I've seen on here for ages Tom... Nice job!
And ignore Dale... Would be awesome at HH tho', see ya there!

  • Cheers Joe, Superprecise...

I can't be arsed with tubs but I am going to take it down to HH when the season starts again :-)

@Dogs - This is certainly not daily ride if that's what your thinking
