I like the paint, paint it and it'll just look like a dolan.

sorry to hijack, am a bit pissed. That frame looks nice, is the paint damaged? I reckon it'll look fine without the decals unless there's proper chips in it.

Small superficial marks, nowhere that anyone but me would notice. I just want it to be like a brand new build.

• #48341
but on a "student budget" the cost of paint/powder coat, decals etc...
you could keep the (pretty unique) paint the same, get a Thomson post to match your stem and still have change for a night out, a kebab, and a couple of spare tyres...?
-
• #48342
agree, no point in repaint
-
• #48343
getting a fresh black paint job too. Probably not to all your tastes but I'm the one riding it at the end of the day.

Sorry to be predictable, but +1

Yeah, but the paint will always bug me..I don't hate it, but I definitely don't like it. Paint has always bee part of the plan so has been budgeted for. Maybe I'll ride it as it is for a bit and save up for the rest. Not being made redundant would have made these decisions a lot easier. Haha
Edit: Just went double budget on a chainset so won't be painting it. At least for a while.

I always think those aero seat tubes are a pain. They look like they should have an integrated seatpost, but putting an aero seatpost doesn't resolve the issue.

For my girlfriend. Not finished yet, but I've had to scoot off to Brisbane for work for a couple of months and I wanted to get it at least rideable before I left.
More potos here.
Lots of parts still need polishing/cleaning, hubs need servicing, VO front rack needs sorting and front mudguard fitting, custom decals and whatever other tinkering I think of at the time. Oh and baskets and I'm making a home made version of this bag. -

My mate owns/runs a bike friendly bar in Brisbane called Cartel, you should check it out! Apparently they do great coffee too, I haven't had the chance to visit it yet, but am hoping to make it over next year.

Google says it's only 10 mins walk from where I'm sat. Might pop over for lunch.

Ask if Flynn is there, tell him Malaysian sends his love if he is!
yeah on more current project related, what front rack is that, is it just mounted on the brake mount and with clamps?
that brooklyn must feel....
