1973 Bob Jackson Messina 55cm 531 f&f + shimano 600 arabesque + 600EX + Campagnolo Nuevo Tipo + Nitto Noodle & Dynamic9
Rolling on diamond encrusted 27s with a mostly NOS drivechain (Just butched a NOS DuraAce 7400 crankset for its loverly chainrings). Its not completely done yet, still have arabesque front mech & crank arms to find.
Will get some proper photos once its really done, its first proper run will be tomorrow on a 4-5day tour of the north. Just need to swap out the 90mm stem for a 70mm stem as its just a tad long (I R T-Rex) and the aweful charge bar tape will go once I get replacement noodles sorted as these ones got bent in the post.Never pedaled a road bike with toe overlap, t'is like lightening and a bit scary in the slower corners.
That's really lovely, would make a nice partner for my vigorelli ha ha ;)

Enigma, based on their Esprit.
Nice. I've got and esprit with track ends. Amazing ride, you will not be disappointed.
What else are you building it with? forks, wheels etc? -

Enigma, based on their Esprit.
I'm sure it'll be nice, but for that sort of money I'd have had a 953 Rourke. Maybe because I got Ti lust out of my system in the 90s with Dean seatpost, Cinelli Grammo and CQP Ti cranks on my lo pro, all still in place 20 years on.

afraid not, you can just see the skew in the drop end between left & right. I think they'll be OK for now :p

That Bob is a beaut, love the big contis.
Never seen a 55 with such short headtube before. -

Yes, Brickman that's nice. 73 seems very early for that kind of shot-in seat stay...? (I may well be wrong about that)
@anothersam
I have found the combination of rack ends and mudguards no problem at all using SKS 'secu-clips' or whatever the f they are called. Not pretty, mind. I have mine mounted on the inside but the eyes are in the stays, rather than down on the ends... -

My current project - first fixed gear. To do: brakes, wheel spacers, rob the front wheel form the other bike, shorter reach bar stem. But pales into insignificance looking at the others on this post (and Forum)...

Very nice solid bike^. I've got a courier friend who rode a smaller version of that frame for work, a really decent frame.
There you are Tel
Forgot to give thanks for people who sold me the bits: Tel, JD, y-s, spacycles, tokyo, Brixton cycles, Planet X. Vaidas in Honor Oak Park for build and wheel finishing.
Duell Warrior by Jan van Dalen, 57x55, columbus Brain, nice socketed ends.
First gen' Athena Group 9 speed (fr mech Chorus) - Apparently group was going to be Dave Creasy's :(
Ambrosio zenith hubs on CXP14 32h, Conti 4 season 25s
3ttt Start bars 42cm
Salsa 531 stem 90 deg.
Saddle now Rolls due. SLR stripped too hard for me!

Here's my new bike:
It's been a current project for ages and finally got it finished today. I'll be experimenting with stem/spacers/bars and getting rid of the chain noise but I'm still feeling like

Cheers for the kind comments on the jackson; he's been out today on his first proper ride, 60 miles through the coastal countryside (felt a birt like devon) with luggage, felt great, am absolute weapon on the climbs and enjoyed being able to leave my mates for dust.
Scully its defo a 73,jacksons worked it out and frame number (9000s) places it then too. Someone haas said it would have mimicked the italian bikes of thee time (sloping fork crown).
managed to take a wrong turn and rode2 miles down a cobbled track, which shook the headset lose but thankfully no damage.
All in really glad too have it finished and bee putting some miles on it. Had plenty of admirers too, mostly the older generation (one came right over too chat about it) and a carbon roadie guy who offered a swap :p -

Here's my new bike
tis nice, but is it me, or you need a bigger/taller frame? or are you similar to edscoble in terms of t.rex-ish kind of figure, needing short tt?

Thanks. You could well be right. I think it'll look less stretched out once I've corrected the bar height, it puts me more upright than I'd usually like at the moment but I didn't want to commit to cutting the steerer down further till I'd tried it out. I will make it work. Never thought of myself as a T-Rex but I've been called worse things :)

This has been built for a bit now. I've finished tweaking it and have just got some photos today.
Very nice BrickMan. Does look smaller than a 55. Love grey rims/silver spokes.
