  • Got this today, traded my Edge Ti for it with a fellow GT enthusiast.
If anyone's interested, in my pinarello track frame will be for sale this week or next.

  • You sure you wanna keep that GT ?

Serious bit of kit that, i've always liked the tripple triangle thing.

  • Yeah I'm sure! :D

  • GT is full of win, jealous.

Sell the pina for twice what you paid for it, seems the done thing.

  • Thought you'd say that somehow ! Can't knock a man for trying though.

  • I think I want a GT now.

  • I want a G&T

  • Couldn't resist this Selle Italia Campionissimo saddle for my build - hadn't heard of them before I stumbled on this one on eBay - very comfortable -

Did actually consider that, I'll have to list it on ebay though as can't be seen turning a profit here.
I'm going to try and sell it here for £220 posted, that's £180 off johnny's original price :0

  • what size is the pinarello?

  • Lovely GT, you must be delighted to get it, no?

  • what size is the pinarello?

Seat tube is 57ctc, top tube the same i think, and stand-over is 85cm.

Yeah really, enough to hand over my road frame.
Hopefully I'll have a replacement in not too long if everything goes to plan.

if your within london, I would seriously be beefing up your shed security. You want hidden hinges and a few more locks, preferably ones that can't be unscrewed externally ;)

The bike is obviously not being kept in that shed, it's too wide for the doors.

  • It is to laugh.

  • If you're not in London don't bother, all thieves in the world live in London and they never leave.

  • @ Jambon, love that GT frame, keep us updated.

  • Will do, cheers for all the love people.

  • I ve just built up my bike and the drive mechanism is incredibly loud
It a 1/8 th chain (i have read they are louder) and 1/8th cog and 1/8th chainring
what would make it this load?

    1. Not a perfectly straight chainline
    2. Cheap Chain
    3. Too tight
    4. A combination
any advice on reducing this noise is gratefully received
  • combination of the lot - sometimes it's just chainring/chain compatibility but in my experience more often its too tight a chain with a bad chainline - ride it for a bit and it may bed in if it's all new stuff

  • most of its parts bin/ second hand
i rekon ill buy a new chain soon

  • If your chainring/sprocket is worn then it'll ruin the new chain. And if you get a new chainring/sprocket with an old chain then it'll wear out the new bits.

All depends how much you care about it.

  • ATM they all have had the same life span but it is a cheap chain which is why i would upgrade and the teeth arent that worn

  • Hello chaps, finished my new build today. Its my first fixed bike and am loving it so far. Frame is from Belgium, a Diamant. Its a pretty blatant conversion but nonetheless, it rides beautifully. Running 3ttt bars and stem, miche hubs laced to open pro rims. Dura ace front brake with cane creek drop levers (the left one is a dummy). Drivetrain is Zenith fluted cranks with campagnolo pista 46T chainring and 17T EAI rear cog. Time atac pedals and Selle slr saddle. Tried to keep the build as clean looking as poss, hope you guys approve, .
