Given free to me by old friend of the family. 50's 60's Jim Guard path frame, Fancy Nervex lugs, wrap over seat stays, 531 tubing, airlite hubs with double fixed rear, 27" Dunlop super sprint wheels, GB stem and old cinelli drops. think chain set is BSA? drop-outs have eyelets for mud guards.
/attachments/4599Has anyone heard of this maker as a search through usual routes show nothing up, and 'Jim Guard is handpainted on down stays.Have half a though that this maybe a re-badged something else any ideas?

Going to send it to Mercian/Bob jackson for a proper respray. lug lining etc but waiting to see if I can get new Jim Guard decals. though if found to be Rourke made may switch it back its got very obivious frame number and also 'A1' behind the seat pin. And may make up with period parts.

Eddie, £3, 3 speed. Stick a SA hub in there and it'll be a perfect beater that will also get you to Brighton (and back) no problems.
Internal gearing is the new big thing.Agreed.

I need a new chain but it's pretty much done. Might go for a 100mm stem and move the saddle a bit but time will tell.
-
• #4686
you ride up with your hands up by the stem, me too, although currently using risers on the bareknuckle .. i must challenge you to a race one day .. liverpool st. to ealing .. :)

It's no fake... got the clover leaf cut outs on the BB shell and lugs. I had it re-sprayed so the decals are replacements if that's why you think its a fake?
SOrry bad joke.

...Round Taper Bottom Bracket. What an unusual, and shit idea they are.I like Ed's idea for a sit up and beg-esque bike. Leather bits to the max (kinky).
