£40 is pretty good, a lots better than my ol' beater which were £40 and a pile of shite.
Realise my saddle was set too far back, now in correct position and the length now feel perfect;
New bar on Ulitity bike, much much more comfortable and huge amount of hand position, loved the position of the shifter which feel perfect;

(on the red bike)also interested in how they ride (for the road)
been thinking of changing my mtb, something like a 26" freestyle fixed gear with a freewheel and V brakes

Nah, hardly slow as fuck, especially when the tyre are reasonably light.
60c is pushing it mind, so sometime along the line of 45-50c would be a perfect size for speed and comfort.

think i'll stick to 23s.
-
• #46360
i thought of using a dirt jumping folding tyre to keep it light, instead of a thick commuter tyre

bigger tyres + low psi = puncture resistance.

19's ftw

Is this true?
I'm looking at buying some panaracer paselas for my plug, I want to turn it in to a comfy distance ride for the summer.

I should imagine so, guess it works on the principle that more rubber means less punture? Although I don't know how much comfort it would add to a plug, i've never ridden one but they don't strike me as fantastic long distance tourers...

how long before you realised a ball bearing from the headset was stuck to your top lip with a dab of grease?
lolz

It's been said before.... nelson pista!
Seriously.
It has, and he obviously won't fit the 51 or 54cm available at cyclebasket.com
Is there anywhere else to buy these or are you suggesting he just wait for one to turn up in the classifieds? -

nefarious, that frame is lovely, has a very interesting finish, what is it?

There are Token 7005 track frames on eBay for £200 being sold off by a shop. Check my post in the ebay thread. It's an option.

That what you think.
Heavy tyres are slow as fuck, not bigger tyres.
However, AFAIK (and waiting for mdcc for this) there's probably an aerodynamic disadvantage with excessively big tyres like my 60c one.

Ed - not at the speeds you're riding.

do it, my favourite tyres i have ever used
i have them on 2 bikes and my girlfriends bike
only had 1 puncture on the rear when i worn it down to being bold and a big thorn poked through, my new rear tire has loads of lil cuts from glass i can't help but ride over but still no punctures
this is how I spent my afternoon, go the f&f, seatpost and h/set from Sweedee for £20 +p&p the rest was laying around the garage. Was going to be mt beater but turned out pretty sweet I think. Condaor track c/ring in the post not sure how it will look but brings grand total to £40 so far!!
