Reminds me of that Harry Enfield sketch:
Two men after a conversation about cars:
"so, er..what's the wife driving at the moment"
"Peugeot 205"
nods in approval "safest option" -

Nuknow's lady is right at the top of the ghetto lady style universe with espresso wheels and crankset.

busy weekend of bike fixing.
just put this sweet ride together. hope you like it. It has all the best parts. old 151 pista cranks. brooks ti saddle. la84 bars in porteur style. shamals etc
these are my other projects that Im currently working on.
replacing the bars with nitto noodle bars. putting double rings on front. thinking of getting the grand bois tyres from PX sale.
got to get the moulton back in shape. the parts got taken off to be put on the mercian.
long term project for this colnago master chrono. not sure on paint scheme yet. need a rear campag disk for it but cant afford it atm.
roberts gonna be either 8 speed chorus, need the brake set, or shimano tricolour need crank.
playing around with cranks. chorus to croce d'aune or some classic record ones. sad to say the stem is too long so have already swapped it.
put mudguards and rack on GF bike. Gilles Berthoud are such high quality guards. not flimsy as other ones ive used in the past. took about an hour to drill and line them up so patience is needed. got to find her a basket.
im gonna miss the moulton. so practical.

just a joke. I have a bit of free time so decided to work on all the bikes that needed fixing this weekend. bars were LA84 flipped up.

I like that it doesn't need a chain because of constant downhillz.
Mercian is very handsome.

You're just complicated it for yourself, loafheads.

• #46138
complicated it? what's it? my life?

Beautiful build, Josh.

Not sure about your life.
Strip all the bikes and start anew.

Josh, I love that mixte, your careful choice of mudguard really does pay off.
In other new, finish the MTB, and yes I've put massive riser on it, going to see how it handle in Surrey soon.

Mustache bars on absolutely everything.
Even though he claims not to be putting them on this one, they are on.

my thoughts exactly
-
• #46144
it's an MTB handlebar either way, like the On-One Mary.

, going to see how it handle in Surrey soon.
Much the same as it will handle in any other County, presumably. Like a boat.
An uncomfortable boat with rigid fork, stupid bars and a chain that falls off every time you hit a bump.

Towpath and fire road bike.
-

Actually it got a chainguard, well a plastic reflector to keep the chain from jumping, just didn't installed a p-clip on it yet.

• #46148
It reminds me of an old cross motorbike with that fork and bars.

I'm not getting the hostility towards Ed's Kona. Looks fine to me.
I think the fashion of 'Alt-bars' with 20+ degrees of sweep, pull your elbows in too far to be able to pump the front end effectivly. So the fact that its usually the fully rigid crew that go for them is a bit odd maybe. They are wrist friendly though. I have some 17 deg Salsa bars on their way for a fully rigid MTB. So I cant critisize the combination too much.

It's the LAW
Spotter and Superprecise great builds, both excellently executed - well done.
