I'm extremely polite, ask anyone (with a world champion rep, only).

There's something wrong with modern tubular gluing techniques, every time somebody punctures on the track the tyre comes off. In the olden days, people used to try to avoid that by using Shellac, now they don't seem to be bothered.
That's because normal shellac is for pussies.

I wonder how difficult it would be to ride a tandem on the back by yourself, as if you were riding no handed...
Not hard, apparently. I think you need Orang-utan arms or some bits of string to hold the bars when you set off, but after that it's just riding no handed on a long wheelbase bike. Haven't done it myself, but I know my dad has back in the day.
I tried it during one of our tinkering sessions in prep for this, was fine, managed a couple of laps of Dulwich park (not no handed though), until later in the evening, after the BBQ when I was changing gear via the SA 3 speed lever on the stoker bars with my right hand while still holding the captain's bars with my left hand. imagine the old "can I ride with my arms crossed" feeling. landed in a man/tandem knot in the middle of our second's rugby pitch.

probably wont be selling them in the forseeable future man :)
was just offering them up to be used on the tarc, which in retrospect, seems like quite a bad idea.haha no probs. Currently saving for a pair laced to open pros for my keirin build, thought I'd it a try

Pulled the auction on my 'Mick Ford' and built it up with what I've got lying around.
Think my RH shifter is broken and I'm pretty sure the top tube is too short.
GREAT

Getting there slowly, second coat of paint on the frame and first of clear on the forks.
Clear coating its harder than I thought, you have to be alot more sparse with it than paint, note the mark on the fork leg. -

Bought as this:
It's now like this:
Call it a puppy-revival. Full DA 7700, Coppi tape and stem, red suede Rolls. Hoping the 2009 Ksyrium Elites don't ruin the feel. Cost about £550 overall.

i can't tell from the photo what you're using for paint, but if it's rattle can, then it's always best to leave the original paint on it and just lightly sand to give somethign to ahere too. works very well.

Spotter how is the frame being held up? am i tired and missing something? magnets??

Wire in the seatbolt hole

yeah its rattle cans, the old paint was fucked, chips everywhere gone flaky. I nitromorsed it off then went over it with 400 grit to give it something to stick too. 4 coats of primer with a day between them, then 3+ coats of main colour all with 1200 grip between. once thats done its clear coat time. I'm just building it as I wanted something to do, so its not the end of the world if the paint isn't 100%
