Syncros did a 29.8, as did Shannon.
Syncros doesn't, searching for a Shannon 29.8 as we speak...

My only choice of inline seatpost is Thomson Elite for 27.0. I think I'm going to buy one and strip is to silver.
I've got a 27.0x400 silver inline kalloy you can buy if you don't want to spring for a Thomson, or buy new from http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=6257 in stock in 27.0 silver for £16.99

Not knowing how to use Google and not knowing what a nicely finished and engineered seat post look like are two different things.
(Yes, I know the Kalloy will do the same job when sat on the bike but that is not what is is about for some of us shallow types)

Yeah, but Thomson is all hipster tax.
I'd go KCNC Ti Pro Lite. Lighter, cheaper(a little), betterer. But not from Burls.
RRP: £85.99
Our price: £89.99 -

But I like my stem and seat post to match and Thomson does that so well (level 7 shallowness)

Grabbed myself a Mercian Olympic for £35
send to Mercian for repair and respray but... I can't decide on a colour. Will be building it as a distance bike (modern campag, strong wheels and mudguards year-round).
Was thinking some sort of rich copper with chrome chainstay... thoughts?

I think I want this colour (slide 3) a very shiney rich copper with a classic feel. Anyone know what finish this is?
Thanks in advance.

BlueQuinn's bike is like that, stunning but not very hard wearing IIRC.

If you're in London you can take it to Chas Roberts in Croydon - they can colour it anything you like, and the price is the same as Mercian (though you'll have to buy some decals if you want them on)

Sumo, check roadie forums for info on the best OEM stuff. Its a bit of a maze, so its best to look at stuff fellow forumongers have purchased and tested. The FM015 looks to be a tried and tested option.

I'm thinking of buying literally the cheapest useable wheels I can find. Then getting much nicer ones later. Might see whats for sale on roadie forums, good idea.

I meant cheak that^^ RBR thread before going with a unbranded OEM frame. Its 30 pages long and full of first hand accounts. The FM028 looks like the Ribble Stealth, which I liked the look and geo of. But there are loads to chose from.

Yeah I've read some of it, got bored. I'll just go for one that comes with seatpost/handlebars and doesn't look gash. Might just buy a planet x bike in the end.

some piece of shit temporary wheels.
Mavic Askium would be a good choice, they're cheap and are actually pretty decent.
It's amazing the amount of people that can't use the fucking search.
Not that they do not try, but they can't use it.
How you should be doing it (Google search window) - Thompson seat post 27.0
What you're doing instead - Where can I buy that sick seatpost for fixies in 27 point, hoe.
