it's made of Isiwata 017 which is what most NJS Kirien frames are made of
I'd be surprised if a lot of Keirin frames were 017, it's a super light tube set more suited to lightweight climbers than burly sprinters. I had a TT bike in 017 back in the 80s, my Hirame road racing frame is 022. For track sprinting, I think 024 would be the first choice, maybe 025 for bigger riders.

Trying to choose some pedals, stuck between MKS sylvan stream, MKS MT Lux Comp, MKS CT Lite Hybrid
Opinions on any are very welcome.

Need WW certified scales, I assume you kitchen scales aren't calibrated, but pretty much spot on the claimed weight is always a surprise bonus.

huge thanks do Dutch Chees on this one, as he was most helpful! Now just waiting for BB and chainring to show up in the mailbox, and to decide on bar tape - and ready for hipster season opening in Moscow hehe

It lives!!! 8 weeks after I bought it, Winstanleys finally sent me the forks! (after not sending me any, then sending me the wrong size!) - so nice to have a fixed again
I had to take my nice TA chainset off and stick a Sugino RD on, as it was rubbing the chain stays slightly - meh. Anyway, plan to put Brooks tape on the GB Randonneur bars, and some nice levers and hoods

Hey Scorch, I can see the frame is made with Columbus, is the Headset one of funny size, or is it Campy?
I'd love a Takhion if the headset could be Campy... -
• #42995
my brooks is starting to feel better already. Now I need to go on a longer ride to give it a good test, just haven't got the time though. I still don't like how much my legs touch the side of the saddle, but that's probably because I'm used to using the Romin which is designed with aero positions in mind.
If I get it chopped and tied I'm hoping it will reduce this. -

I'd love a Takhion if the headset could be Campy...well, nuknow, the picture shows fork/HS with a "funny", soviet threading. this fork actually right now is ridden by EEI on his Meteor. the takhion i am building up is set up with new track fork with usual italian threading and modern sealed shimano headset

AAWWwwwwww
YYeeeaaahhhhh ... then. ;)
I've seen EEI's, undoubtedly the most colorful bike in East of the London.
I love Takhion's rear triangle. -

anyone tried these token ?

No but I have Token cranks and they're good :)

Token's cheap and cheerful, plenty enough for those who aren't fussed about crank in general, my dad have it on his bike.
Thanks, it's been so long since I got to ride it. Just as I remember, stupidly light (531c) and very short wheelbase makes it so much fun.
I'm on the bartape, honest.
