Thanks, having just test ridden it (top bike, not trailer), and having not ridden anything with a freewheel for two years, I'm pretty convinced that freewheels are evil and dangerous. How are you meant to control a bloody bike, when it just keeps going even if you stop peddling? Madness I tell you. It might be okay for some sort of closed road racing, but in London?

Current Project:
Gitane KiloStill want a Campagnolo Aero seatpost and a Nitto Pearl 9 stem and then should pretty much be done for awhile. I also want to wrap the bars with some cloth tape (once I get the stem)
I got the wheelset recently, not exactly what I wanted but I couldnt pass up the deal. -

Thats a roight proper job that is. Seatpost will top it off. Some a nice low profile wheelset would look the business on that, I think. But that'll do for starters!

First thought was seatpost...
I don't mind the wheelset, look good to me.
Only other thing is I'm not a great fan of the chainring, but that's just me.
Overall very nice.

Its been tough finding a 26.4 seatpost. I keep losing them on ebay!
I agree, Id like a black chainring. Perhaps I can trade someone eventually. Thanks for the kind words!

can't be tough when you have Hilary Stone.

Walrus Continental, finished in time for Tweed Run III:
Also, this:
plus this:
is becoming this:
(more pictures: here and here)Very nice trailer, but can you explain what is the purpose/benefit of a 2 wheel trailer over a single wheel?
In my opinion wider could be more dangerous and harder to manouvre.
On the other hand, trailers tend to ride instable, so that disadvantage may be tackled. -
• #42340
Not if you're using it for 4x, and some people do use dj frames for 4x.
i believe there was an identiti rider from several years ago who rode dj, not 4x, clipless.

Sounds retarded... was he German?

Still, very nice work on both counts.

My wife found the tag-along very disconcerting first/only time out, but I've been told this is quite usual. The whole trike back-end is bolt on/bolt off so it will probably be returning to its former state at some point.

Okay, I understand. Just look out for curbstones.
I've experience with trailers with 2 kids sitting in it and trailerbikes with kids sitting on it. The last one is a lot easier. Good action though to comfort mummy and the kids first. -

Just about finished this, my 1st full build. Although I might end up fitting a 2 pin seatpost and a set of flipped north road bars? It'll get a proper paint job at some stage, or a powdercoat for durability as it's a general run around bike (this is a rattle can job done in the garage). Thanks to The Bonk for the NOS rims, Skully for butchering the saddle & Arup for building up the the wheels with the DT Revolution spokes.

Very smart! Impressed you managed to paint the lugs - not bad for rattle canning. Those old stems with drilling for centre pulls are aces

Clinchers or Tubs?

some one did it with bullhorns for the front brake few pages back
