  • here is an update on 6pt's dolan so far. Im still deciding on what seatpost, saddle, bars and tyres to go for.
Any suggestions for some fairly narrow track drops at not an unreasonable price?

    ftfy :P

  • soon to be mine!

  • Looking (minty) fresh, are they the original forks?

Not sure, I won off of ebay. actually doubt it.

Was already posted in attempt to find out the maker.

  • New ride, frame is unknown with what looks like powder coat on.

Velo Orange cranks, PBP / Origin 8 wheelset. nitto pearl stem/ b 83 seatpost. Strange Rolls seat, but feels great.

Rides very well and will eventually upgrade to suntour cranks.

    V Nice.

  • Well, after I found a crack in my Fisher I decided a new project was the order of the day. This arrived on my doorstep this morning, so time to get the spare parts bin out.

(Probably needs to go into one of the mtb threads but here will do for now.)

    Nice!
Really want one of them. Love the chunkiness of the headtube.

  • I can use a homemade shim for a Thomson stem, roight?

  • Nice!

I've got a tapered fork for it as well, so it will interesting how it handles.

  • hey ;)

today i show you all my "smooth" ride.
It's not finish yet (rear wheel missing. I have to polish the rim and hub... Right now i have the bike with a mavic rear wheel just until i will have the other ready)
    It's a convertion of a 12speed Peugeot into a SingleSpeed. Maybe i'll have it fixed (i don't know yet)

  • i like your other bike better :)

    What you putting on it?

When I've putting it together in my head, I've considered the Fox Talas 160. Pretty sure it comes in a tapered steerer version. Not cheap though.

    me too ;)

i only use this one to ride more "smoothly"

  • @av3s..That is a Rolls Due.. Skinnier then the OG.. Like your build!

  • V Nice dude! :)

So tight though - you not worried about fork flex?

Actually had a bit of a fail moment - pumped up the tyre and it started rubbing! Bah

Tried Han's Conti GP Attack on it (which is 22c) and it fits much better. So I've ordered some of these: Veloflex Master 22c Clinchers! Should look a lot nicer on it too! Though quite pricey... Mmmm handmade italian tyres!

If its not fixed I'd fit a front brake too

  • hi! this project is not new here. It was an old road steel frame that i bought (blue & white and also with some rust). Than i polished the shimano 600 stem and alloy fork...
The first time i posted this bike here it was not finish.
Now with chainring, chain and pedals

looking to it now i think a silver chainring will feat better on it
but now that will have to wait
48t/17t (like my other fixed gear bike). This one is not so agressive like the other but i also love ridding it.

  • Tidy ;)

  • Do we have a thread for problems with our bikes? i can't find anything

    got a stuck BB :'(

    -

    nice conversion ^ looks great

  • You didn't search that hard did you, this was yielded from a search for "stuck bottom bracket";

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread10659.html

  • Try in the Mechanics and Fixing forum. Can't remember the specific thread, but there's definitely been talk on several threads over there.

  • Too slow.

Harry, I love you but wtf is it with you and tiny tyres? As if the 21's on the Quinn weren't enough, now your 'about town' bike is going to rock handmade 22's?!

  • just have a look inside in my development of my 21 year old kettler alpha alloy bike (in opposit order)
