That is going to be such a nice bike, makes me regret not buying the frame.
There was a syncros post in the ebay thread a few pages back if you missed it. -

How she sits now:
soooo nice, looks like a pleasure to ride
wouldn't some kind of hold fast style strap be better? when i rode those straps I didn't like them at all for brakeless style riding

Wanted a shorter stem for the Dolan, figured when it came to 1-1/8" it was a no brainer really.

that has bikeguide allover it.

Thanks man! For real, the allen bolts that clamp the strap are SO small and I've rounded them pretty good. They're doing the job though. I've never ridden Holdfasts, I'm sure they'd do a better job. Anyone come from Power Grips to Holdfasts/ other comparable straps?

Guilty. Who do you post as?

Thanks man! For real
i had the power grips for a few days, comfy but every time i went to skid my foot would twist and it was quite painfull, still prefer my clips mks touring, double straps and large clips for comfort and skidz!

• #41388
Why would your foot twist? Unless the power grips are not adjusted properly?
Federal: Nice job on the bike. Still thinking of swapping the chainring for a black one?

• #41389
the strap goes diagonally over your foot

If used with the right pedals it should not be a problem i.e. platforms instead of track pedals?

My new bars came today, Nitto RB-018. I decided that risers just didnt provide enough hand positions, I shall be fitting these tomorrow :).

This is very nearly my new project now.
I have started a thread in bikes and bits to try and get some info and model identity on the camagnolo groupset and wheels ( I don't recognize the rims, 20 spokes at front, 24 rear). I'm waiting to see the bike, get exact sizes and specs, but would like to do a bit of background R&D before i see it. Can anyone shed any light on this bike/frame, or just give me your brutally honest opinions, should you need any encouragement. (this includes what i should be paying for it!)
I'm thinking only tyres and stem could do with changing from what i can see in the blurred photo. Not keen on the saddle, but it is the original one with atlantic olympics embroidery on it to match the badges and markings on the frame, so if its comfy it will probably stay.
This is the other thread that has a couple of other useless photos.

Without closer shots clarifying tubing, parts, and condition I'd say you should be paying around £150-600.
The most important thing is that it is the correct size - it's quite big, how tall are you? Over 6ft? I don't think I'd change anything. Maybe white tape and white hudz hoods. It's always going to be a loud bright yellow and blue/green bike. Don't fight it, embrace it.

yeah, bit concerned on size. At present am told its 60cm. I'm hoping that it ctt as my perfect fit for a road frame is 59ctc and 57 tt (I'm 6'1'). Kinda hopeful that it just looks bigger in the pics :-

Just waiting to find a better set of pedals, as I really don't like the MKS Streams...

I read all of Nowhere fast's posts imagining it's the old guy on his laptop in the workshop now.

The Look is done and I'm finally happy. Only thing I'm not totally settled on is that I can't decide whether I prefer it in white bar tape or black. I also have a set of Airwings that I may chop and change between, depending on the riding I'm doing most of. Also still tweaking saddle tilt.
Not a bike, but another bike related project I've just finished. My spare (now bike) room.
I wanted to get everything neat tidy as cheaply as possible. Decided on my home brew wall mount solution over the pedal hangers because it's cheaper, allows the bike to sit closer to the wall, doesn't put strain on cranks/pedals and prevents the bike from tilting if the c.o.g. isn't over the mount. Cheap Ikea wall shelf thing and clothes organiser, old bedside table I already had for parts, bulky tools and to put the laptop on when I'm on the rollers and job's a good'un.
Just waiting for this coming in the post and I'm done (bar re-painting thw white wall).

Great job on the spare room!
Did Vaz do the lug lining and apply the decals? Cost?
