  • See? he doesn't like it one bit.

  • Just weighing up options, I'm referring to the Condor Classico, and it's built to order (£100 over retail).

Are you replacing that nice tom crowther or is this one more of a modern race bike? That price feels bit high for a condor to me. Id prefer a rourke or a mercian for that money.... without trying to up the anti, how about a pegoretti duende (marcelo but with socketed seat stays). could be got on the cycle scheme at a push and im sure he could be paint it in a way that didnt make small children cry.

  • i like it, but i think it would look better with low profile rims. open pro cd's maybe

  • Sumo didn't like it, so change it.

Ed's talking sense for once. Listen to this man.

  • the drop on them is massive, it looks stupid.

Probably the most commonly used track bar in the world? Of course they have a deep drop, they're a classic track bar?

Yeah I actually agree with that, I bought the rims when they were "cool" but I kind of wish I'd gone for Open Pro CDs or I might go for the new H+Son rims.

but real track bikes don't look like yours, and they're function>form.

Oooooh. Other than the rim mismatch there's nothing about it that isn't track friendly.

  • Can't imagine the ergostem is the stiffest available.

  • Don't be a dick.

  • Can't imagine the ergostem is the stiffest available.

People more powerful than you have won sprint races on them, so I don't think it's a significant handicap.

Nah it's not... Still, Look don't seem to mind too much do they?

You're probably right though, that doesn't look like a proper track bike either, all form over function right?

    Needs some foot retention

  • Sorry, I am just being a dick. I just think it could look really nice, and those ergo stems are hideous. Not a fan of the forks being smaller than the rest of the frame too. The crankset is lush though.

Ah no worries man, I think the ergostem is a grower, the rims will probably change but other than that it's a win for me!

  • Aaaarrggghh! Got my Trinity The Light Blue frame delivered yesterday - but no forks!!! Could no effing believe it! There was a big rip in the side of the box - the Parcel Farce guy was off before I noticed and could have queried him - spose they could have come out of the hole in transit, or just not packed in the first place. Gutted, was looking forward to having a build over the weekend.

  • I prefer this type of stem ^ Fixed length but adjustable angle.

  • progress with the mystery bike

  • ok so i got my first ever bmx out the garrage, i been told i got it for my 9th birthday, so i have owned it 10 years, i think its time i bring it back to life

its in need of some restoring obviusly, apart from the slow puncture on the front i got it rolling at least

needs a long lay back post and some how get the dodgey paint off i did when i was like 12 i think, so i get it all blinging in chrome

will be a slow project because of my other bikes, but will be sweet when its done

  • Swapping wheels from my other bike. + Syncros seatpost, Brooks/flite saddle, Stronglight 2000, cinelli 1a and risers. probably.

The Cougar fork is fucking lush, but I'm thinking of putting in some different 1" forks as I need to run a front brake for Brighton. Thinking something carbon. we'll see...

  • ^ envious! I look forward to seeing it built.

  • What bars are on the mystery bike?

  • nitto northroads, unsure of the exact variant but i believe its of the narrower, less risen breed

  • progress with the mystery bike

    great colour

  • Yeah I rode my moto down to Lagos last summer then came back up the west coast. Beautiful area, was thinking on the way back would be great to cycle it. Stopped in Costa Nova one night, saw alot of cyclists around there.

    wow!
you almost stopped in front of my house ;)
yeah! Alot of bicycles here. I think that's one of the places with more bicycles in Portugal.
