well, I had a go at covering the Easton Bars earlier.
Tried one side with some old Fizik Dual which is comfy as hell, but maybe a bit to bulky for the job. If i go with tape i think standard Fizik will be better, and less bulky on the rounded ends. The Fizik looks good. Do it on both sides. 'Problem' solved.

I just had a look at one of my old bat grips, and seems like it would work.
I used to rubber up my bat handle, so often had quite thin rubbers on the inside (OOh matron). that might do it...
definitely going to look into this, cheers

Ok, so I have dropped the Fort off to have the BB installed (would have done myself but lack of BB tool and grease meant the LBS was an easier option today, they're pretty sound too). Just need to pick up some tyres now and it is FINISHED! Pics to follow today or tomorrow!

I've used cricket bat grip before on an old beater. Had to use it over the top of cork tape tho coz it was too baggy to go straight on the bars.
Could maybe use a cople of these?

Just put my new bargain Flite max on the Concorde, slowly getting there, swapping contacts to black, and looking at a new chainset.

build a bike then not ride it for another few months? That's self control.

restraint of irrelevant comments, now that's control SUMO
-
• #39896
how is that irrelevant? You just spent like £3k on a bike and promised yourself you wouldn't ride it til summer. There's no way I would be able to do that, it wasn't a dig at you. (Well maybe a little).
