MAX! South Monday?
-
• #39678
Yeah sure :-)

• #39679
It would be fine, I think you're just making things up in your head. I could make it work.
Ha, yeah you're probably right, but look at this shit.

• #39680
does look rather phallic, what about track grips?
-
• #39681
Taylor is getting there...
X2 Stem and Easton Bars most recently added, might have to sell the frame to fund the new project :(How could you even think of selling that?!

• #39682
I know, but....

I know but!

It's beautiful
what sort of build you have planned for the roberts?
-
• #39684
So... I built the Feather, finally. :D
Except, apparently, the spare brake bolt nuts I could have sworn I had in a drawer somewhere are nowhere to be found. And the only one that came with my OEM brake is far too long for the steel fork. So, fuck.
But as soon as I get that sorted there'll be pics and that.
It's lighter than I thought it would be. :)

b'jammin, that shitty bartape job looks better than no tape.
And the Taylor is nicer than the Roberts. At least it has personality, whereas the Roberts is just a lugged track bike. A really nice one, but come on

The Taylor have the longest top tube I've seen, thateven Max probably can't reach that far.

Cheers, I do love the Taylor frame and now i have drops back on it, i am trying to find alternatives to try and keep it. If i'm honest it is a little long on the top tube for me, the Roberts is spot on. I don't really want to decide between the two as the Taylor is nice to ride everywhere as it's a bit more relaxed, but might have to :(
As for the Roberts build, was thinking
a nice black sotte voce ck 2nut,
Black Sugino 75's
LF black Phils on CD Open Pro's or Omega V's, or Royce on Open Pro would be sweet, depends how long i can wait and how much i can save.
Bars-wise, if i had to sell the Taylor I'd try the Eastons, if not then the Lino track drops. -

Sounds sweet. Black 75s will look mint.
-
• #39689
So how long is the top tube on the Taylor ?
-
• #39690
it's 61cm c-t-c
-
• #39691
It would probably fit me. PM me with how much you want for it if you do sell it. I'd be after the F+F & seat collar.
-
• #39692
will do.
FYI, it's 63cm from c-t-t seattube, 55 to centre of TT for a more comfortable stand over height.

You tease! :P
Looking forward to seeing it. A lot.

Btw, I probably have a bolt that'll fit if you can't find the one you thought you had.

MAX! I though you hate steel frame because they flex like noodle?
-
• #39696
Hmm, Ed. I don't like lugged steel frames with standard diameter old school tubes, in sizes bigger than 62cm, because I can feel them bend underneath me. I'm heavy.

Ha, sorry. Thought about posting a teaser pic but seemed to be a shame to spoil the anticipation. ;)
Going to try and grab a suitable nut from a shop tomorrow maybe. Thanks for the offer though.
