I'm loving this carbon madness. I bet your house is made of it. Do you take a saw to everything you own and gradually replace it's entire structure with carbon fibre?
More pics!

It's always a balance between fast and robust, but since Lightweights are race wheels you want a race tyre - Vittoria Open Corsa Evo II or Veloflex Corsa 22.
I'm going for a pair of Open Corsa Evo II, for my roadie build. I already use Veloflex on my road fixed, fancied a change, and was seduced by the 320TPI.

Surely the higher pressure isn't good for comfort/speed? unless the road is going to be as smooth as a velodromes.

I'm not sure I'd run them any higher than any over road tyre. The Corsa are 23mm and have very flexible sidewalls, so I reckon 115 PSI for the front, and 125 PSI for the rear. I tend to use around 125 PSI on my veloflex's (20 and 22mm), which feels very nice indeed.

There are photos of it back in the thread somewhere but yeah I remember a shortened axle and he's sanded/filed down the crank at the pedal end as you say.

TPI/PSI confusion there - TPI = threads per inch, it's a measure of how fine the woven casing material is. Higher TPI supposedly makes for a smoother ride and a lighter tyre.

Whoop! thank for the correction.

Ha, did'nt realise this was the misunderstanding.
Just noticed the Veloflex corsa are stated to have 320 TPI. I thought they were 290.
Worth noting that manufactures make there race tyres light and subtle in different ways. TPI is only one factor.

Is that frame designed for drops BTW? The hoods look like they're right over the front hub.
Look like the hoods is slightly over the front hubs;

I thought they had switched form 300 on the old ones to 350 on the new ones. Vittoria definitely moved from 290 to 320 for the Mk2 tyres.
